The money bubble is approaching and Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Director of Poker Operations Tommy Bates is showing he can do more than run one of the nicest rooms in the country.

Bates got into a preflop confrontation with Mike Leah. Leah got all in from the big blind for about 35,000 and Bates called from middle position.

Leah showed and was in the lead against Bates’ . The board ran out favorably for Bates, however, as it came and Leah was eliminated just a few spots before the money.

Bates dragged the pot and chipped up over an average stack. With one more elimination, the field will be on the bubble and hand-for-hand play will begin.
