$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 29: 40,000/80,000/10,000 Ante

Andre Crooks opened to 180,000, Griffin Paul and Dan Heimiller called and Ryan Rivers moved all in for 1.015 million and Crooks folded. Paul called and Heimiller folded. Rivers had TcTh and was dominating the 6d6h of Paul.

The board ran out QdJs2h3cQs to give the Rivers the double up. Players are now on a 15-minute break.

Championship Day 4: Thrower Doubles Through Heimiller

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 29: 40,000/80,000/10,000 Ante

Dan Heimiller opened for 235,000 and John Thrower moved all in for 1.11 million total. It was folded back around to Heimiller who made the call with 9d9c. They were racing as Thrower held AcQd and Thrower would sprint to the lead after the As8c2h flop. The turn gave him a second pair as it was the Qh and the river was the 4d to give Thrower the double up to approximately 2.3 million in chips.

Championship Day 4: David Peters – 10th Place ($58,500)

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 29: 40,000/80,000/10,000 Ante

Andre Crooks starting things off with a raise to 180,000. One spot to his left, David Peters reraised to 430,000. Sitting another spot over was Griffin Paul who put in yet another raise to 1.1 million. Crooks quickly got out of the way and Peters moved all in for approximately 2.1 million total. Paul snap-called with AsKh but he was dominated by Peters and his AcAh.

The flop came KdJh3c to give Paul some hope with a pair of kings and the miracle king would come on the turn as it was the Ks. Now it was Peters who needed a miracle, but the river was the 9h and that would be the end of Peters tournament. He finishes in 10th place collecting $58,500 for his finish.

Championship Day 4: Rivers Doubles Through Ebanks

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 29: 40,000/80,000/10,000 Ante

It was folded to Joe Ebanks on the button who opened to 160,000 and was called by Ryan Rivers out of the big blind. The flop came KcQcQs and Rivers snap-shoved his remaining 555,000 into the middle. He was quickly called by Ebanks. Rivers had 6c5c for a small flush draw and Ebanks had Kh6h for top pair.

The turn was the 4s keeping Ebanks in the lead but Rivers would hit his flush on the 7c river to give him the double up to approximately 1.5 million.

Championship Day 4: Ebanks Takes Some From Heimiller

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 29: 40,000/80,000/10,000 Ante

Dan Heimiller opened for 230,000 and was called by Joe Ebanks. The flop came Kd4h3d and Heimiller checked. Ebanks made a bet of 225,000 and was check-raised to 625,000 by Heimiller. Ebanks made the call and the turn was the Ac. Heimiller led out for 1.1 million and was called by Ebanks.

The river was the Qc and both players checked. Heimiller showed 6d6c but that was well behind the  AhQd that Ebanks held as he rivered two pair. Ebanks moved to approximately 7.5 million with that pot.

Championship Day 4: Thrower Doubles Up

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 29: 40,000/80,000/10,000 Ante

On the first hand back from break, John Thrower moved all in for just under ten big blinds and was called by Andre Crooks. Thrower was in great shape with his TdTh against the 2d2s that Crooks held. He was in even better shape after the dealer put out a flop of JcTs7d. The 5h on the turn meant Crooks was drawing dead and the dealer put out an irrelevant Ah on the river.

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 27: 25,000/50,000/5,000 Ante

Steven McKoy opened for 110,000 and Cornel Cimpan moved all in for 330,000. Vladimir Dobrovolskii re-shoved and the action was folded back to McKoy who took a moment before saying “I’m never folding this” and making the call, his tournament life at risk since Dobrovolskii had him covered.

McKay had AcKh, Cimpan JdJh, and Dobrovolskii TcTs. The board ran out Qd8d2c5c6s and Cimpan tripled up while Dobrovolskii’s tens were enough to win the side pot.

Players are re-drawing for the final two tables and bagging and tagging. We’ll have the updated chip counts and new seating assignments momentarily.
