The 40-minute dinner break is underway with the entry count up to 216. It might move up a couple more spots but this is a great turnout either way.

The second break is complete and there was another run at the registration desk at the front of the room. The prize pool has officially doubled the $100,000 guarantee and it will continue to increase.

A few more friends made their way into the tournament including Jake Schwartz, Ali Imsirovic, TK Miles, Aaron Massey, and 2015 WSOP Main Event champ Joe McKeehen.

Vitor Coehlo

Event 16 continues to draw players to the Seminole Ballroom and it looks like it could double up the $100K guarantee. Late registration is available until 6:40 pm after the dinner break. This is a new tournament in this spot so we’ll see what kind of mark it can set.

Vitor Coelho is in the field today, visiting as usual from the left coast of the state. He picked up his first WPTDeepStacks title early in 2019 and looking for his second SHRP win. Coelho’s sole trophy from Hollywood came in a big one when he outlasted 2,692 entries in the opening event of the 2016 Poker Showdown.

David Prociak

As you would expect with a $1,100 buy-in tournament, the field is smaller but very talented. The action is a little slower with only a single re-entry option available to the players and they know how to use their chips.

Two of the most accomplished SHRP players are in the field. David Prociak has the most titles of anyone in our major series with seven total including a WSOP Circuit ring from 2017. Until last evening, Brian Altman was tied for second with five but Raminder Singh jumped a pot with his sixth.
