Championship Day 2: Loni Harwood Leads

$3,500 WPT RRPO Championship (Re-Entry)
$2,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 12: 1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Players Remaining: 235 of 898

Loni Harwood

We had a new chip leader at break and it’s a familiar face. Loni Harwood is once again leading one of our big events and her 484,500 puts her in contention for another title.

Harwood has plenty of success in the game and she’s trying to add her first WPT title to go along with her two WSOP bracelets and five WSOP Circuit rings.

Championship Day 2: Daria Feshchenko Doubles Through Roman Korenev

$3,500 WPT RRPO Championship (Re-Entry)
$2,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 12: 1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Players Remaining: 243 of 898

Daria Feshchenko

After the first break, Roman Korenev opened to 6,000 and picked up one caller. Daria Feshchenko moved all in for 22,500 from the big blind and only Korenev called for a battle among the Moscow-based players.

Feshchenko: AhTd
Korenev: 8s8h

Feshchenko had two over cards and the Ac5d5s flop put her ahead for the double. The board finished 7c turn and 6h river to keep her in the Championship.

Daria Feshchenko – 51,500 (21 bb)
Roman Korenev – 70,000 (28 bb)

Championship Day 2: Matt Millisor Spinning it Up

$3,500 WPT RRPO Championship (Re-Entry)

Level 12: 1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Players Remaining: 243 of 898

Matt Millisor

Matt Millisor is an interesting story as we crawl towards the money bubble. He went on break with a 120,000 but at one point he was out of the room, thinking he was eliminated.

Millisor lost a big pot and he was already walking away when they discovered he won a side pot for 2,000. A single big blind, no ante. He was tracked down, returned to his seat, and ran that all the way up to 120,000.

Championship Day 2: Josh Cranfill Eliminated by Joey Couden

$3,500 WPT RRPO Championship (Re-Entry)
$2,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 12: 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante
Players Remaining: 261 of 898

Josh Cranfill

After an open and Joey Couden raise, Josh Cranfill moved all in from the button for 61,000. The original raiser folded and Couden called after a quick think.

Couden: JhJs
Cranfill: AhKs

Cranfill needed help but it was Couden improving on the Jc6s5d flop. Cranfill was drawing thin and the 9c turn locked up the hand for Couden.

We were happy to have Josh back in the Hard Rock Event Center. He’s been busy as a fundraiser and advocate for those with muscular dystrophy.

Joey Couden – 245,000 (123 bb)
Josh Cranfill – Eliminated

2015 WPT LHPO champ Brian Altman was on the button against Ray Qartomy in the small blind with the board reading 7s5h3h6hAd. He was all in for 49,000 and Qartomy took his time before calling.

Altman tabled 9c8d for the nine-high straight and Qartomy took his time before mucking his 5d4d seven-high straight.

Brian Altman – 130,000 (65 bb)
Ray Qartomy – 71,000 (36 bb)

Championship Day 2: Matt Wantman Doubles Through Sam Phillips

Matt Wantman

Matt Wantman made a move and had his last 38,500 in the middle against Sam Phillips in another race.

Wantman: AdQc
Phillips: 9h9c

Wantman needed help to double, missed the KhTh5c, but picked up a few gutshot outs. The Ks turn changed nothing but he pulled the double thanks to the As river.

Matt Wantman – 81,000 (54 bb)
Sam Phillips – 35,000 (23 bb)

Championship Day 2: Mark Dube Eliminated by Lexy Gavin

Level 11: 1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 ante
Players Remaining: 315 of 898

Mark Dube

Mark Dube open-shoved for 23,000 from under the gun and it folded around to Lexy Gavin in the big blind. She called and it was off to the races.

Gavin: 5s5h
Dube: AcJc

Dube needed to catch to stay in the Championship, missed the Qd9s3d. then connected on the Ah turn to take the lead. It didn’t last long, only until the two-out 5c hit the river to send Dube out.

Lexy Gavin – 120,000 (80 bb)
Mark Dube – Eliminated
