Scott Zakheim raised UTG+1 to 2,300, another player called from middle position, and Michael Tureniec moved all in from middle position for 7,000.

Here are their cards in descending order of chip counts:

Scott Zakheim:  10d9d
Michael Tureniec:  AdJh

The board came 10s9c7d3d10h, and Zakheim flopped two pair and rivered a full house to win the pot, doubling thru the middle-position player and eliminating Tureniec from Day 1A.

The under-the-gun player raised to 2,200, Raj Vohra moved all in UTG+1 for 12,200, and his opponent thought for a while before calling with Ad3d.

“I can beat that. 100%,” said Vohra as he turned over AhJs.

“You can’t say 100%,” said another player.

“One hundred percent,” said Vohra.

The board came As9s6s4cKd, and Vohra won the pot with a pair of aces and his jack kicker to double up in chips.

Anthony Zinno was all in UTG+1 for 55,200 with AsAh, and he needed his aces to hold to stay alive against the UTG player’s JsJh.

The board came 8h5h3d7h10h, and the pocket aces hold up for Zinno to win the pot and double up in chips.

Anthony Zinno  –  126,400  (211 bb)

Mike Shin raised from the hijack to 2,000, the player in the cutoff called, and the small blind moved all in for 20,700. Shin tanked for a while before he called, and the cutoff folded.

The small blind turned over 6h6d, but he was dominated and facing elimination against Shin’s 8h8c.

The board came 4h3c2dJd7c — the small blind flopped a gutshot straight draw, but improved no further. Shin won the pot with his pocket eights to eliminate the small blind.

Gorsuch moved all in, and the UTG player called all in for 14,500 with Ah2h for trip aces.

But Gorsuch turned over AdKc for trip aces with a king kicker, and the UTG player needed to improve to stay alive.

The river card was the 6c, and Gorsuch won the pot with trip aces and his king kicker to eliminate his opponent.

Eventually, Hirani calls all in for 26,100, and Conniff shows AcKd for a pair of aces.

But Hirani turns over Ad8d for two pair, aces and eights, to win the pot and double up in chips.

Dave Berman
Dave Berman

A player raised from middle position to 1,000, another player called, the cutoff called, the button called, and Dave Berman moved all in from the small blind for 14,000.

The original raiser moved all in over the top for 22,200, and the next player to act tanked for a very long time before he folded. The cutoff and the button both quickly folded.

Berman turned over 4h4d, and he needed to improve to stay alive against his opponent’s 7s7d. Several players grumbled that they wish they hadn’t folded.

The board came AdKd8h4s5s, and Berman turned a set of fours to win the pot and double up in chips.

Dave Berman  –  31,800  (64 bb)

After that hand, Level 5 came to an end, and Level 6 began with increased blinds of 300-500 with a 500 ante. There are now 369 entries in the field, with registration open until about 9:15 pm.
