Event 1 Day 3: Final 19 Players Take Their Seats

Day 3 of Event 1 ($240 no-limit hold’em) has begun and just the final 19 players remain from a field of more than 3,000. This will be the final day of the event as the field plays down to a champion on Monday. The blinds will begin at 50,000-100,000 and a 15,000 ante. Here are the chip counts at the start of play:

Event 6 Day 1A: Field Size Set at 285

Registration is now closed for the Day 1A starting flight of Event 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed) and the field size clocked in at 285 players. At this pace, with a total of nine starting flights, this tournament is on pace to create a prize pool of $256,500. Late additions to the tournament field included Zo Karim and Bill Mullins. There are currently 180 players still in the hunt for Day 2.

Event 2: Final Table Begins

After the eliminations of Jeff Coutroulis in 11th place and Tony Herring in 10th place the official final table for Event 2 ($1,100 no-limit hold’em) has begun. Here is a look at where the players are seated after drawing for new seats.

Event 6 Day 1A: The Usual Suspects

There are a group of players emerging as tournament series regulars in the early going at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. Even though we are just six tournaments in players like Michael Rocco, Jeremy “PokerProfit” Costa, and Nancy Birnbaum have played in multiple events. Birnbaum has played in half of the events so far. She cashed in ninth place in Event 3 last night and she is back at it again this morning in the Day 1A flight of Event 6.

A Manic Monday at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open

It’s going to be a bust day at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. In addition to three starting flights in Event 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed) there will be four final tables taking place in the ballroom at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Here is a breakdown of what to expect.

Event 6 Day 1A: 14 levels of poker from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Event 6 Day 1B: 14 levels of poker from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Event 6 Day 1C: 14 levels of poker from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Event 2 Day 2: Play down to a champion starting at 1 p.m. (11 players remaining)
Event 1 Day 3: Play down to a champion starting at 2 p.m. (19 players remaining)
Event 4 Day 2: Play down to a champion starting at 3 p.m. (14 players remaining)
Event 5 Day 2: Play down to a champion starting at 3 p.m. (10 players remaining)

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Offers $12.5 Million in Guarantees in August

The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida will award $12.5 million in guaranteed prize pools at 33 events that run from August 8-29. Everything leads up to the $5,300 no-limit hold’em championship event that starts on August 22 and features a $10 million guarantee that will crown a champion on August 28. Another marquee event on the schedule is the inaugural World Poker Tour Alpha8 $100,000 no-limit hold’em high roller event that runs on August 26 and 27.

Other preliminary events to keep an eye on include Event No. 1 ($350 no-limit hold’em – $500,000 guaranteed), Event No. 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed prize pool), Event No. 7($560 no-limit hold’em – $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool), and Event No. 23 ($150 no-limit hold’em – $50,000 guaranteed prize pool).
