WPT TOC: Jared Jaffee and Jordan Cristos Eliminated by Farid Yachou

On a flop of AhQh9d, Jared Jaffee checked from the small blind and Farid Yachou checked from the big blind. Matthew Waxman bet 3,500 from the cutoff and Jordan Cristos moved all in on the button for 27,700.

Jaffee called and was all in for 9,300, Yachou called and Waxman folded.

Yachou showed As9c, Jaffee tabled Ac2c and Cristos tabled Qd9s. Yachou was in great shape to eliminate two players with top and bottom pair. The turn was the 8c, leaving Jaffee drawing dead, and the river was the 3s to send both players home, shipping the pot to Yachou.

Ben Cade raised to 2,500 under-the-gun and Tyler Patterson called in early position. Amir Babakhani called from middle position before Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 11,800 from the hijack.

Dylan Wilkerson was on the button and moved all in for 20,400. Action folded back around to Jaffe, who called.

Jaffe showed AdKs, but was in trouble against Wilkerson’s AhAs. The board ran out Th8d6h3hJc and Wilkerson doubled up.

Mark Newhouse raised to 1,800 from under-the-gun and Ravi Raghavan called from middle position. David Paredes defended his big blind and three players took a flop of Tc7c2s.

Paredes checked and Newhouse bet 3,000. Raghavan folded and Paredes called. The turn was the 7h and Paredes checked. Newhouse bet 5,600 and Paredes called.

The river was the 4d and Paredes checked again. Newhouse bet 10,000 and Paredes called. Newhouse showed JsJc and Paredes mucked his hand.

David Chiu moved all in from middle position for 7,800 and Taylor Paur called from the hijack. Nam Le went into the tank on the button and used two time bank chips before making it 43,000, leaving himself with 500 behind.

Paur went into the tank and used two time bank chips of his own before tossing his hand into the muck, leaving Chiu heads-up with Le.

Le showed QhQs and was in the lead against Chiu’s KhJh. The board ran out 9s8c7h2dAs and Le’s pair held up to eliminate Chiu.

“With like 21 seconds left, I almost went all in,” said Paur after the hand, claiming he folded pocket jacks. “Then I re-considered and ended up folding.”

On the river with a completed board of TdTs3s2c3c, David Paredes checked from the small blind. Mark Newhouse bet 5,000 from the big blind and Paredes took some time before calling.

Newhouse showed Ac3d, good for a full house and Paredes mucked his hand. Newhouse dragged the pot, but is still just shy of a starting stack.

On a flop of Qd3h2d, Asher Conniff checked from the small blind and Darren Elias bet 3,600 from the big blind. Michael Mizrachi called from middle position, Taylor Paur folded from the cutoff, Jason Brin folded on the button and Conniff folded as well.

They were heads-up to the 6c turn and Elias checked. Mizrachi bet 5,150 and Elias called.

The river was the 8h and both players checked. Elias showed KsQh and Mizrachi mucked his hand.

On the turn with the board reading Ac4h3cJd, Yevgeniy Timoshenko checked from the small blind and Taylor von Kriegenbergh bet 3,000 from the cutoff.

Timoshenko called and the river was the 4c. Timoshenko checked and von Kriegenbergh bet 5,500. Timoshenko waited until there was two seconds left on the action clock, before announcing a check-raise to 17,500.

von Kriegenbergh goes into the tank and used one of his time chips to get an extra 30 seconds of time to act. With a few seconds left on the second clock, he tosses his hand into the muck.

There is about 6,000 in the middle on the turn with the board reading Kh8s2c7h and Matt Salsberg bet 2,500 from the cutoff and Matt Waxman called on the button.

The river was the Ad and both players checked. Salsberg showed Th8h and Waxman mucked his hand. Salsberg dragged the pot, but is sitting with just over half of his original starting stack.

David Ormsby raised to 1,000 from the cutoff and Noah Schwartz called from the small blind. Chris Leong came along from the big blind and they saw a flop of AhJs8d.

Schwartz and Leong both checked before Ormsby bet 1,300. Schwartz called, Leong folded and the turn was the 4d.

Schwartz checked and Ormsby bet 3,100. Schwartz called and the river was the 2d. Schwartz checked and Ormsby bet 7,000. Schwartz check-raised to 40,000 which was enough to put Ormsby all in.

Ormsby took about 15 seconds before tossing his hand into the muck. Schwartz took the pot and moved over the 100,000 chip mark.
