With 14 players left, the players are guaranteed a payday of at least $6886 and James Glenn is leading the field with 255,000 in chips. Marcus Stein is near the top of the chip counts as well and looking to make his second final table of the series after a deep run in the opening event of the series, finishing fourth for more than $50,000.

Ira Schwartz raised to 7,500 under-the-gun and David Jackson three-bet to 20,000 out of the small blind. Schwartz caled and they saw a flop of Qd6d2s.

Jackson bet 23,500 and Schwartz called. The turn is the 5c and Jackson checked. Schwartz bet 45,000 and Jackson quickly folded. Schwartz drags the pot and is one of the biggest stacks left in the tournament.

Event 7: Joseph DiChiaro Pops the Bubble

A player in middle position raised to 5,200 and Joseph DiChiaro called on the button. The small blind moved all in for 18,700 and both players called.

There is a side pot between DiChiaro and the player in middle position as the flop came 8d6s5c. Middle position checked and DiChiaro moved all in for about 50,000.

Middle position tanked for a minute and then tossed his hand into the muck. The small blind showed QcQs and was in the lead against DiChiaro’s 9c9s.

The turn was the 7c and DiChiaro turned a straight to leave the small blind drawing dead to the river. The river was the Qd, which gave the small blind a set of queens and DiChiaro drags the pot.

The small blind is eliminated in 19th place and there was a slight pause in the action as the final 18 players re-draw for their seats at the final three tables.

All players are now guaranteed at least $607.

David Jackson raised to 5,000 under-the-gun and Edwin Cabrera moved all in from middle position for 6,500. Action folded back around to Jackson, who called.

The cards were face-down while there was all in action pending on a neighboring table. When the cards were tabled, Cabrera showed Kd9s and was in big trouble against Jackson’s AdKd.

The flop was Jc9c6c and Cabrera takes the lead after hitting his three-outer. The turn was the 7c and the river was the Qd to keep Cabrera in the lead and keep him from being the bubble boy.

The turn is the 8h and the river is the Ah to give Gomez a double up on the bubble.

“I was scared when you snap-called me,” said Gomez after the hand.

“Well, you bet five times pot, so…” replied the big blind.

On a flop of Js4d2c, Al Gomez is on the button and gets all in against the player in the big blind. Gomez shows 4h4s and has the big blind’s Jh9h drawing to runners.

The turn is the 6d and the river is the Qd to keep Gomez in the lead. The dealer counts down both stacks and both players have exactly 17,200. The big blind is eliminated and Gomez doubles up.

With 19 players remaining, hand-for-hand play begins and the next player out is the bubble boy. The final 18 earn at least a min-cash of $607.

A player under-the-gun raised to 3,200 and Zach Kessler calle out of the small blind. James Glenn called from the big blind and they saw a flop of 8s7h3d.

Kessler checked and Trudeau bet 6,000. The original raiser folded and Kessler took a look at how many chips Glenn has behind and then moved all in.

Glenn quickly called and is all in for 24,200. He showed 10h10c and was in the lead against Kessler’s Ah6h. Kessler can’t find an ace on the turn or the river and Trudeau doubles up.

Day 7 of Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Concludes

As the 2016 of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown hits the one week mark, the $150 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry wraps up all of its starting flights.

There were six flights over two days that drew 1,804 entries and a prizepool of over $218,000. There are 183 players that survived the six flights and come back for Day 2 on Wednesday afternoon with Ty Akbasli leading the way.

Akbasli bagged 405,000 on Day 1E and is the only player in the tournament over the 400,000 mark.

When cards get in the air on Wednesday, the money bubble will be at the forefront of everybody’s thoughts. The top 108 players will earn at least a min-cash of $346, but they all have their sights set on the $49,957 first place prize money.

The tournament is scheduled to play down to a winner on Wednesday.

Along with the conclusion of the $150 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry, there are two single day tournaments that run alongside it. Here’s a look at Wednesday’s schedule:

  • 12 p.m. – $350 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max Freezeout ($30,000 GTD Prizepool)
  • 1 p.m. – Day 2 – $150 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry
  • 6 p.m. – $250 No Limit Hold’em Ladies Event Re-Entry

Event 5 Day 1F: Salah Levy Leads 48 Remaining

The last flight of the $150 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event wrapped up in the early hours of Wednesday morning and Salah Levy bagged the chip lead to lead the 48 survivors.

Those survivors come back on Wednesday at 1 p.m. for Day 2 and play down to a winner.

Levy bagged the lead with 254,500, but is joined at the top of the 1F counts by Stosh Gepp and Jordan Meltzer with 242,000 and 206,500 in chips, respectively.

Over the six starting flights, there were 1,804 entries which generated a prizepool of $216,480. The top 108 players will cash and first place is worth $49,957.

Karsten Bauer gets his last 18,500 into the middle preflop on the button against the player in the cutoff and the big blind.

The cutoff shows As6c, the big blind shows QsQc, but Karstens has them all trumped with his KdKs.

The flop is Kc8s2s and leaves everybody drawing thin. The turn is the 7s and both of Karstens’ opponents pick up a flush draw. The river is the Jc and Karstens fades the spade to triple up.

The big blind wins a small side pot from the cutoff, since the cutoff had the second biggest stack of the three players. Bauer is now just shy of 30 big blinds as the level nears an end.
