We’re pushing up the stakes this afternoon and Event 7 got underway at the top of the hour with a $1,100 Deep Stack that has a $100,000 guarantee and two-day structure.
They start with 20,000 deep stacks and the first 12 levels last 30 minutes each, going up to 40 from Level 13 till the final table. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 8:55 pm following the dinner break.
Day 1 will continue through Level 15 and survivors will bag up their chips for a Day 2 return tomorrow at 2 pm.

To give the pace some perspective, the math says Event 1 has lost an average of one player every 30 seconds since cards went in the air and that includes a 10-minute break where it wasn’t possible to lose a player. The action will have to slow down eventually but right now they are juicing the action.
Anthony Casas is another player on the better end of the deal, sitting with 910,000 in his stack with less than 30 minutes before the 1K color up break.

The field continues to shrink (while opening tables for Event 6) which means someone has to get chips while the payout line grows. Two more dangerous players are building chip castles including Jake Schwartz with 823,000 and Mark Perry with 790,000.
There’s still a lot of time left in the day to catch them but that won’t be an easy feat.

Farid Jattin isn’t the only one building a stack this afternoon and David Vurgait’s run might be even more impressive. While he has yet to top a million, his 925,000 at the moment is a great increase on the 185,000 he began with at the start of the day.

The quick break came to an end and players returned to their seats, all of them chasing the same leader.
Farid Jattin came into Day 2 with more than 700K as the chip lead and he’s only built a bigger castle since. The 2017 Tampa Winter Poker Open Main Event champ is up to 1,343,000 for a big lead at this stage.

Due to the huge restart for Event 1, the $400 one-day Deep Stack game was moved back half an hour and now we have seats available for that gang. They have a $50,000 guarantee and football on the TVs.
Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 6 pm with unlimited re-entries during that time. They will take a 40-minute dinner break at 8 pm and return to play down to a winner.
