Jaka: QsQh
Fielder: AsKh

Jaka was ahead for the knockout and Fielder missed the Js8d5s flop. He added a gutshot draw on the Td turn and paired the Ks river to double.

Faraz Jaka

Faraz Jaka and Jeff Fielder were heads-up to a Jc5s3s flop and Jaka checked from the big blind position. Fielder bet 125,000 and Jaka check-raised to 390,000.

Fielder called, Jaka bet another 450,000 after the 4s turn and Fielder called again. Jaka shoved the As river and Fielder released his hand after thinking it through.

Jaka tabled his queen-high Qd8h bluff then pulled up the Twitter app on his phone.

Joe Cheong

Joe Cheong returned from break and found quick relief. He was all in against Zach Donovan with 9h9c versus KcJc and doubled after he flopped a nine and rivered the case nine.

Then he tried again.

After Scott Margereson opened to 100,000 from the hijack, Cheong moved his new 1,000,000 stack in the middle from the big blind and Margereson called.

Cheong: AsTs
Margereson: 9d9c

This time it was Margereson with the nines and Cheong was racing. He missed the 8s5h4c flop but picked up a flush draw/gutshot wheel draw on the 3s turn. Cheong blanked the 3d river to go out in eleventh place.

One more elimination and they will form the final table nine.

Scott Margereson  –  9,400,000  (188 bb)
Joseph Cheong  –  Eliminated in 11th place  ($54,139)

Pedro Palacio

Pedro Palacio is in good shape to make the televised WPT final table and his ROI will be better than anyone else. He’s here on a freeroll and making the most of his shot.

Palacio is a regular at our sister property in Coconut Creek and he won their March tournament leaderboard promotion. His prize for winning? A $3,500 entry into the WPT Poker Showdown Champion. Palacio has locked up at least $54,139 but there’s $696,740 up top that he wouldn’t mind taking back to the Coco poker room.

Joe Cheong is going in the other direction. His stack dropped under 1,000,000 after two big pots against Brian England.
