As expected, a late rush saw the Flight B field tick up to 371 total entries during break. That number surpassed Flight A’s 326 and brought the two-flight total to 697.

Players are in in the midst of their second 15-minute break of the night. The field sits at an unofficial 361 entries with that number expected to tick up a few during the recess.

One player familiar with South Florida — particularly Hollywood — poker scene is Ray Ruszkowski. Ruszkowski, who’s local to the area, has recorded numerous cashes at the Seminole Hard Rock including a $13,000 score in this past April’s $3,500 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship and numerous final table appearances in in-room events.

Ruszkowski’s home field advantage continues here in Flight B of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $360 event. He’s turned his 20,000 starting chips into nearly 100,000 and is in good shape with the second break right around the corner.

With 321 entries, Flight B is all but assured to surpass the 326-entry pace of today’s 11am opener. The combined field is well over 600 and creeping up toward 650 with four additional starting flights still to come.

Down to his last roughly 10,000, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa team member Wally Maddah was in the big blind. An early position player had opened to 1,100 and a middle-position player called. It folded to Maddah and he shoved for his last 9,950. The early position player jammed for more and the middle-position caller got out of the way. Maddah was at risk but ahead.

Antoine Bahi is among the early chip leaders in Flight B of the $360 buy-in opening event. He’s been involved in a number of pots and kept the table guessing opening, C-betting and three-betting.

After a rocky start, Shandra Seay is experiencing a little better luck on her second entry.

Most recently, local regular Michael Newman called from late position and Seay raised the button to 300. The small blind folded, the big blind called and so did Newman.

Three-handed, they saw a flop of . All three players checked.

Fourth street was the and the big blind checked a second time. Newman lead for 500 and Seay called. The big blind folded and Newman was heads up with Seay.

The dealer burned and turned the on the river and Newman checked. Leay started to put what looked like 800 into the pot and Newman quickly let it go. After some friendly banter, Seay showed the table for flopped trips.
