Players are on a 40-minute dinner break with only 15 players remaining of the starting 72. Steven Gray leads the way with a logjam behind him.

Event 2: Last Chance to Enter

$250 Limit Omaha/8 (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 800/1,600 Limits

Players are on the second break of Event 2 and the registration desk will close at the restart. The tournament clock shows 69 entrants, beating the count from this event last year, with time remaining to get in.

Robert Campbell gets another mention, but not in a good way this time. He was seen walking away from the tournament area and we’ll see if he fires off again in his favorite poker variant.

Event 2: Campbell Looking for 13

$250 Limit Omaha/8 (Re-Entry)
Level 7: 600/1,200 Limits

Robert Campbell (Miami, FL)
Robert Campbell (Miami, FL)

Robert Campbell is one of our familiar faces in Event 2 and he’s always one of the favorites when entering an Omaha/8 tournament.

Campbell has over $800,000 in career earnings including 12 tournament titles. Of those dozen victories, all but one came in an Omaha/8 event. His biggest cash came with a 30th place finish in the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Event 2: Split Pot Joy

$250 Limit Omaha/8 (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 100/200 Limits

The big Event 1 starting field isn’t the only tournament kicking off today. We have a smaller but talented field for Event 2 and some Limit Omaha/8 for those who love their game with four hole cards and scooping pots.

Marc Perlman won this event last year and we’ll be looking out for him when they get underway. Robert Campbell is another local Omaha specialist we expect to see as he looks for his 13th career title.

Players will begin with 10,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels from start to finish. Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30pm. This is scheduled as a one-day event to crown our first Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” champion before the end of the day.

Cards are about to fly and we’ll keep an eye on them as they play down.
