Event 1 Day 1A: Maddox Ends Big

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
End of Level 14: 1,200/2,400/400 Ante

David Maddox (Boynton Beach, FL)

After running out the last three hands of the flight, the 69 remaining players bagged up their chips for a return on Sunday.

David Maddox surged late and is the clear front runner of those moving on. His bag full of 438,500 trumps the 273,500 of Raymond Clause. David Hass was another big stack at the end and his 230,500 will be well above average.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker ambassador Sheddy Siddiqui caught more than double up in the last level with queens topping eights to put him over 150,000. Jeff Kessler had a nice finish to his day, he finished his second bullet with 139,500 after losing most of his first shot on his first hand of the day.

Event 1 Day 1B: Second Flight Flying

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

The second flight of Event 1 is underway and they are looking to add to the 363 entrants who kicked things off this morning. That was a good start to the $500,000 guaranteed event and they will have some good money on the line after all six starting flights are added.

Players start with 20,000 stacks and levels will run for 30 minutes for their entire day. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9, approximately 10:30PM, and play will conclude at the end of Level 14. Survivors will return on Sunday and play down to a champion.

Event 1 Day 1A: Final Break

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 12: 800/1,600/200 Ante

Jorge Gomez (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Players are taking their final break of the flight and the field has dropped quickly. The opening flight drew 363 entrants but just 100 remain late in the day. They will return and play two more levels before bagging up.

Chance Kornuth and Francis Margaglione are no longer with us in 1A while Sheddy Siddiqui, Jorge Gomez, Erik Christensen, Ory Hen, and Jeff Kessler continue their grind.

Event 1 Day 1A: Sheddy Cruising

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 500/1,000/100 Ante

Sheddy Siddiqui (Pembroke Pines, FL)

Tables are breaking quickly but Seminole Hard Rock Poker ambassador Sheddy Siddiqui is cruising right along in the middle of the room.

He’s looking for a solid series to finish out a great year that saw him post the single biggest cash of his career. Siddiqui has earned more than $1 million in poker tournaments and a nice chunk of that came this summer when he finished 5th out of 7,275 players in the WSOP Millionaire Maker massive event.

Event 2: Last Chance to Enter

$250 Limit Omaha/8 (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 800/1,600 Limits

Players are on the second break of Event 2 and the registration desk will close at the restart. The tournament clock shows 69 entrants, beating the count from this event last year, with time remaining to get in.

Robert Campbell gets another mention, but not in a good way this time. He was seen walking away from the tournament area and we’ll see if he fires off again in his favorite poker variant.

Event 1 Day 1A: Big Number

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 400/800/100 Ante

They’ve shut the door on new entries into flight 1A and players combined to build up a very nice number. The first flight drew 363 after all the accounting was complete to burst out of the gate. We are going to have a big prize pool for the opening event.

Tournament staff will begin breaking tables as players are eliminated for good from the flight and we’ll see our 1A leaders emerge.
