Alex Foxen
The dealer introduces himself to Alex Foxen’s dog, Riley.

After a flop of Kh3h4d, Alex Foxen checked the small blind, and Mike Shanahan moved all in from middle position. The next two players folded, and Foxen called all in for 61,500 with Kc4c for top two pair.

Shanahan turned over Jh9h for a heart flush draw, and Foxen needed his hand to hold to stay alive.

The turn card was the Kd, the river card was the 4h, and Foxen turned a full house, kings full of fours, to clinch the pot and double up in chips.

Alex Foxen  –  170,000  (170 bb)

The Day 1B field is up to 834 entries, which increases the tournament total to 1,474, making the prizepool worth more than $4.7 million.

Registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until about 9:15 pm, and action will continue tonight until the end of Level 10, around 11:15 pm.

The board came Ks5s4dAhQd, and the pocket tens held up for Alberro to win the pot and eliminate his opponent.

Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

In the last hand before the dinner break, Jonathan Jaffe raised UTG+1 to 1,800, Jordan Flaschner reraised from the button to 5,200, and Jaffe called.

Both players checked to the turn on a board of 10s10d6hQd, Jaffe bet 8,000, and Flaschner thought for a while before he called.

The river card was the 10h, and Jaffe moved all in for 46,700. Flaschner asked for an exact count and went into the tank for a long time.

Eventually, Flaschner asked, “Will you show me if I fold?” But Jaffe gave no response.

After some more thought, Flaschner began recapping the hand to himself, and shortly after that, he folded.

Jaffe let Flaschner off the hook as he showed one card — the 10c for the quad tens. Jaffe took the pot, and Flaschner implied that he had folded pocket kings.

Jonathan Jaffe  –  75,100  (75 bb)
Jordan Flaschner  –  85,000  (85 bb)
