The champ must show talent in multiple games to take home the trophy.

The field will take a 45-minute dinner break at 5:30 pm and return to the Meeting Room to play down to the final table and eventual winner.

Event 1 of the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open hit the halfway point last night and the $400 buy-in Deep Stack is on the verge of hitting the first milestone. With 2,126 entries over the first four flights, only 905 new entries are needed over the last four to hit the $1,000,000 guarantee.

We might hit it in Flight E this afternoon, but definitely in Flight F at 5 pm if not.

Players start with 20K deep stacks, and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, going up to 40 when they return for Day 2 on Sunday. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm.

Event 7 of the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was a $200 Big Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry). The $30,000 guarantee was easily surpassed, as a field of 340 entries created a prize pool of $54,400. 

Emerging victorious was Zachary Harrell, winning outright for $11,300. In addition, Harrell won a $5,300 seat into the SHRPO Championship next weekend.

Event 6 of the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was a $600 Deep Stack Six-Max Pot-Limit Omaha (Re-Entry). A field of 173 entries generated a prize pool of $90,825 and taking it down was Sam Sternfield, winning outright for $23,260.

“The curse is over!” said an excited and relieved Sternfield after.

This marked Sternfield’s 10th final table and 19th cash in an SHRP major series event.

“So many close calls. I was out for blood today.”

John Holley raised to 13,000 from UTG+1, and Daniel Dorf called on his direct left.

The flop was , Holley moved all in for about 160,000, and Dorf called after about 20 seconds with for the nut flush draw, leading Holley’s for an open-ended straight draw.

The turn locked it up for Dorf with a flush, rendering the river moot.
