Event 1 Flight B: Casey Carroll Scores Double Knockout to End Flight B as Chip Leader

$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
Level 16:  4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 39 of 394

Flight B Chip Leader Casey Carroll

With 41 players remaining, Casey Carroll raised from middle position. The player on the button committed his remaining 19,000, Joseph Duchman reraised all in from the big blind for about 45,000, and Carroll called to put both players at risk.

Carroll tabled As9h, leading the button’s Kd7d and Duchman’s 10h8h.

The board came down AhAc4s6d2d, giving Carroll trip aces to score the double elimination and send the remaining field into the money.

With that pot, Carroll overtook Flight A chip leader Tony Ruberto as the overall chip leader through two flights with 556,000.

Event 1 Flight B: David Prociak Applying the Pressure

$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
Level 14:  2,000/4,000 with a 500 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 50 of 394

A player in middle position raised to 9,000, David Prociak three-bet to 32,000 from the button, and the initial raiser called.

The two of them proceeded to check to the river of a Jd5d5sKs8h board where the initial raiser checked. Prociak bet effectively 95,000-ish, sending his opponent into the tank about two-and-a-half minutes before the clock was called. Time eventually ran out, and Prociak was awarded the pot.

David Prociak – 375,000 (94 bb)

Event 1 Flight B: 394 Entries

Ellen Lambeth in Flight A

Picking up the action in a six-way pot after a flop of 7d6c3h, Eli Levy checked from the small blind and the player in the big blind checked. Ellen Lambeth, who already survived Flight A, bet 2,000. from early position. She was called by the players in the hijack and button, and both blinds as well.

The turn was the 9s and action checked to Lambeth again. This time she bet 7,000, with only the player in the hijack and Levy calling.

The Kh river completed the board and all three players checked.

Levy tabled 10s5d for missed draws, Lambeth tabled 8c3d for pair of threes, and the player in the hijack mucked.

“Well, I did not expect that hand to win,” said Lambeth afterward with a smile.

Ellen Lambeth – 96,000 (80 bb)

Event 1 Flight A: Two Players Bust on the Money Bubble; Tony Ruberto Leads After Flight A

$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em
Level 17: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante
Flight A Players Remaining: 51 of 523

Flight A Chip Leader Tony Ruberto

Two players busted on the money bubble, locking up Day 2 seats for the remaining 51 players.

At Table 17, Stuart Greenbaum opened to 22,000 from under the gun. The next player to act three-bet shoved for 78,000, and Gerald Fehr four-bet shoved for about 115,000 from the button. Greenbaum folded, and the hands were kept face down as action at the other tables finished.

Meanwhile at Table 9, Tony Ruberto raised from under the gun, the player in the cutoff three-bet shoved for about 150,000, and Ruberto called.

Once all other action was complete, the hands were revealed. Fehr held JdJs and was racing with his opponent’s AdKs, while Ruberto tabled KhKs and was dominating his opponent’s AsQh. Both Fehr and Ruberto’s hands held up, bringing Flight A to an end.

With that last pot, Ruberto took the chip lead with 555,000. We’ll have complete chip counts for the Flight A survivors in an hour or so.
