Manny Minaya opened to 25,000 from early position and Evan Teitelbaum called in middle position. Steve Yagudaev moved all in from the button for 95,000.

Minaya thought for a second, called the shove, and he was followed by Teitelbaum coming along as well. Minaya tossed in 125,000 after the flop and Teitelbaum took some time to think it out. He eventually released and gave the table a little self-congratulatory slap when Minaya tabled his hand.

Yagudaev’s hopes were in a lot of trouble against bottom set and he was drawing dead after the turn.

Meanwhile in a bit of shocking news, returning Day 2 chip leader David Prociak was exiting the tournament as Minaya was winning his hand.

There was a slight pause after the break where there were no calls of “payout” from the dealers. But that did not last long.

Cindy Muchnick took a shot with an under the gun shove for 41,000 and she picked up three callers. She had a chance for a quad-up and the live players checked down the flop. One player moved all in after the turn and the rest released.

Muchnick was drawing dead to top set and hit the rail in 163rd place for $1,200.

While that was going on, we heard the dealer at the next table yell out “three payouts” and that got the rest of the room’s attention.

The losers were mucked but we saw former Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Big 4 champ Ruslan Dykshteyn laughing as he waited for a massive pot. His was still face up along with the board and he took a huge chip lead with slightly more than 1,000,000 in front of his seat. Three more players hit the rail, each collecting $1,200.

Ultimate Re-Entry players made their way through the remainder of Level 16 and the hour-long Level 17 before taking their first break from the action.

It was a mass gathering in the payout line and 134 players were unable to make the first break. That leaves 20 tables in play and they will return for two more hour-long levels.

Julien Durity was already sitting pretty before taking a seat today after he collected two Multi-stack awards worth $5,000. Now he’s trying to run up his 101,000 returning stack for more cash.

Durity looked like he was in trouble after he put his final 70,000 in the middle with a big pair that ran into a monster.

Durity needed a miracle to crack those aces and found the first part of it on the all-spade flop. The turn did not help but he found the flush on the river to double up.

The Ultimate Re-Entry restart is down 100 players in less than an hour and there seems to be no slowing them down. Some of those recent eliminations are joining the Black Chip Bounty Turbo across the hallways.

SHRP regular Marc Duquette was one of the recent eliminations when his small ace couldn’t catch against a bigger ace. He moved all in from the button for 106,000 and Julio Ruiz called in the big blind to put him at risk.

The line at the payout desk formed quickly and it’s staying consistent over the first 30 minutes. Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah was an early casualty along with LaDarryl Alexis.

Alexis’ end came when he open/shoved for 24,000 from early position and Daiane Mendes moved all in over the top for 130,000 from middle position. A few players considered coming along but ultimately released for the heads up hand.

Mendes was ahead but Alexis had two suited live cards then flopped an open-ended straight draw on the board. The turn left Alexis with 14 big outs to stay in the game but the river was not one of them. He joined the line at the table while Mendes stacked up.

After a short pause to get everyone seated, Tournament Director Tony Burns welcomed everyone and kicked off Day 2 of the Ultimate Re-Entry.

The opening event of the series has gone through eight starting flights over four days to leave us with 314 players vying for the trophy along with more than $200,000.

2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year David Prociak bagged a huge stack in Flight C and his 579,000 is good enough to return today as the chip leader. Emile Schiff is not far behind when he returns to 570,000 with Benjamin Scrogins, Daniel Young, and Jose Luis Gonzalez rounding out the top five.

The huge tournament drew 3,570 entries for a prize pool over $1 million to easily surpass the $500,000 Guarantee. Each flight played down to the money so everyone today is already guaranteed a $600 min-cash, but all will be shooting for the top prize of $204,320.

With no bubble play today, action will be fast from the beginning. There will be a steady parade of short stacks hitting the payout desk as the short stacks try to double or get their money.

All 314 players will return at 1pm, check out their stacks, then begin playing their way down to the final table and Event 1 champion.
