$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
End of Level 15: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 29 of 116

The final few hands are complete at each table, and the 29 remaining players have bagged up their chips for the night. Jonathan Little ended the day atop the leaderboard, chased by Erik Seidel, Jake Schindler, and SHRP Team member Loni Harwood.

A recap of the day’s action along with a full leaderboard and the Day 2 seat draw will be posted shortly.

High Roller: Erik Seidel vs. Olivier Busquet

$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 29 of 116

Robert Heidorn opened with an under-the-gun raise, and Olivier Busquet three-bet to 60,000 in the cutoff. From the small blind, Erik Seidel four-bet to 145,000 total, and that was enough to chase Heidorn out of the way. Busquet spent a couple minutes considering it, then called to see a flop.

It came JcTh6h. Seidel assembled a stack of chips and slid out what looked like 130,000 of them. Busquet spent another couple minutes in thought, long enough for us to count the 251,000 chips he had left in front of him. He eventually surrendered his cards into the muck, and Seidel won the pot with no further resistance.

Erik Seidel – 645,000 (65 bb)
Olivier Busquet – 251,000 (25 bb)

High Roller: Jeff Gross Doubles Through Alex Keating

$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 30 of 116

Alex Keating opened to 20,000 in middle position, and Jeff Gross three-bet shoved for 222,000 next to act. Keating spent a long while on the decision before calling, committing close to half of his remaining stack to put Gross at risk.

Keating: 8s8d
Gross: AsAd

The board ran out Qd6c2dTc5d, and Gross’ aces held to earn him a double-up.

Jeff Gross – 460,000 (46 bb)
Alex Keating – 280,000 (28 bb)

High Roller: Tom Marchese Eliminated by Martin Finger

$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 32 of 116

Tom Marchese got the last 86,000 of his chips into the middle preflop against Martin Finger.

Marchese: AhJh
Finger: KhKd

The board ran out Qh9d4d9sKs, and Finger won the pot with kings full to eliminate Marchese.

Martin Finger – 260,000 (26 bb)
Tom Marchese – Eliminated

High Roller: Darren Elias Eliminated by Richard Tuhrim

$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 33 of 116

Down to barely 50,000 chips, Darren Elias got the last of his short stack into the middle preflop against Richard Tuhrim, who had him dominated.

Elias: KcJd
Tuhrim: KhQd

The board ran out 8c8h5s8d2d, and Tuhrim’s queen played to earn him the knockout. Elias was eliminated with about 20 minutes of play left in Day 1.

Richard Tuhrim – 330,000 (33 bb)
Darren Elias – Eliminated

High Roller: Nghi Tran Eliminated by Martin Finger

$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 38 of 116

Nghi Tran opened to 24,000 under the gun, and Martin Finger three-bet shoved for around 200,000 a few seats over. Tran called all in for about 115,000 total, putting himself at risk.

Tran: AcQh
Finger: KsKh

The board ran out clean for Finger, coming 5s4h3cJc4c to give him the pot with kings up. Tran, who held the lead for much of the day’s opening levels, was eliminated.

Martin Finger – 345,000 (43 bb)
Nghi Tran – Eliminated

High Roller: George Dolofan Triples Up

$25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 Ante
Players Remaining: 38 of 116

George Dolofan moved all in for 77,000 in middle position, and Stephen Chidwick called on the button to put him at risk. From the small blind, though, Andjelko Andrejevic re-shoved for about 280,000 total, and Chidwick pondered for a long while before surrendering his cards into the muck.

Dolofan was heads-up with a chance to triple up, but he was in bad shape.

Dolofan: As7s
Andrejevic: AcQd

The Kh8s2s flop was a good start for Dolofan, and the Ts turn gave him an unbeatable ace-high flush. The river was the meaningless Td, and Dolofan came from behind to triple up.

George Dolofan – 247,000 (31 bb)
Stephen Chidwick – 310,000 (39 bb)
Andjelko Andrejevic – 205,000 (26 bb)
