$15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions Level 11: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 Ante Players Remaining: 29 of 66
Defending WPT Tournament of Champions winner Farid Yachou survived the first day of the event but returned with a short stack. On the first hand back, he opened under the gun for 4,500 and Dylan Wilkerson raised to 100,000 from the button.
The blinds released and Yachou called all in for less.
Yachou: Wilkerson:
Yachou was ahead for the double and dodged the flop but Wilkerson added a gutshot straight draw. The turn gave Wilkerson Broadway and Yachou was eliminated after the river.

Players are in their seats, chips are unbagged, and cards are flying for Day 2 of the WPT Tournament of Champions. They’ll play hour-long levels with a break every two levels until we have only six players remaining.
$15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions Level 11: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 Ante Players Remaining: 30 of 66
The WPT Tournament of Champions kicked off with a tough field of 66 members of the WPT Champions Club and there are still 30 of them around for Day 2 with Florida poker legend and three-time WSOP champ Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi leading them all.
Everyone in the game has already proven themselves capable of conquering a WPT tournament and there are no soft spots at the tables. Defending champ Farid Yachou is still in the game with a chance to go back-to-back but he’ll have to deal with the likes of WSOP Main Event champ Ryan Riess, former Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown champs Justin Young and Griffin Paul, along with eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Erik Seidel and three-time WPT champ Anthony Zinno.
Day 2 will have those 30 players return and continue playing until only six players remain to return for the live-streamed and televised World Poker Tour final table. But first, they will play down to the money with nine players earning a piece of the $1,090,000 prize pool.
They’ll start back up at the top of the hour and it should be an entertaining day of poker.
A reminder all daily tournaments are now taking place in the poker room

After 10 levels of play, Day 1 of the $15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions is in the books and Michael Mizrachi leads the 30 players who survived the day.
Mizrachi, who finished third in this event last year, finished the day with 285,600 and has a slight lead on James Romero, who finished with 276,000. The only other player with over 200,000 is Griffin Paul, who won the 2015 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.
Tyler Patterson (199,300) and Erik Seidel (179,200) round out the top five chip counts. Last year’s champion, Farid Yachou also waded his way through the first day, but is coming back on Saturday as one of the shorter stacks with 35,800.
Luck wasn’t on everybody’s side though with plenty of top pros hitting the rail before the day’s end. Mohsin Charania, Jake Cody, Shawn Cunix, Scott Clements, Mike Sexton, Keven Stammen, Kevin Eyster, Ema Zajmovic and Dominik Nitsche were just a few of the players who were unable to put chips in a bag at the end of the day.
There were 66 WPT Champions Club Members who came to the Hard Rock and the top 9 spots will finish in the money. The eventual winner will take home $381,500 and an Audi S5.
Day 2 will get underway at noon on Saturday and they will play down to the final six players, who will play down to a winner at the televised final table on Sunday.
