$570 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Flight C Players Remaining: 117 of 455

Peter Vitantonio

Peter Vitantonio raised to 5,000 on the button and the player in the big blind defended.

The flop was Td4c2d and the big blind checked. Vitantonio bet and the big blind called. They both checked the 6s turn card and the 8h came on the river.

The big blind leads out for 5,000 and Vitantonio quickly calls. The big blind shows Jd9d, giving him a missed flush draw, and Vitantonio tabled AcKs to win the pot with ace-high.

Vitantonio scooped the pot with about 10 minutes remaining before the staff pauses the clock, plays a set amount of hands and bags up chips for the flight.

Peter Vitantonio – 68,000

Event 1 Flight D: Friday Night Flight

$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 1: 25/50

We have two flights in the books for Event 1, one flight playing down on one side of the Event Center, and the fourth flight ready to go on the other.

Event 1 is well on its way to hitting the $1 Million Guarantee with the combined total sitting at 1,198 entries. They will run it up further this evening and we’ll know how many we need tomorrow to get there.

Each entrant will start off with a 20,000 deep stack and levels run 30 minutes a piece for all opening flights. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm with re-entries available during that time. The day will end with the completion of Level 14 and survivors will bag up their chips for a Day 2 return on Sunday.

Flight C Players Remaining: 144 of 455

Jerry Wong

Flight C players took some time away from the table for their last break of the day as the field continued to shrink. They will play three more levels before bagging up for a Day 2 return.

Former WSOP November Niner Jerry Wong is still around but working with a tough table. He has to deal with Victor Figueroa and Daniel Pearlman in the lineup but they will break before the day comes to an end. Wong is another player with some opening event success; he won a cool, even $250,000 after dominating the 2017 Lucky Hearts Poker Open Event 1 final table.

Level 9: 400/800 with a 100 ante
Flight C Entries: 455

Jeff Kessler

Flight C is back underway and registration closed with 455 entries. That number puts the combined total two away from 1,200 entries with three more flights to go.

Jeff Kessler is responsible for one of those entries after a long night in the Event Center yesterday. He made his way through a tough field in the Seniors Event with a chance to win in the end. Kessler had a back-and-forth battle against Bruce Freedman and they chopped the last two spots in the payouts. Freedman had the biggest stack and took home the trophy, leaving Kessler one spot away from his second career SHRP Seniors Event title.

Flight C reached the eighth level of the day and time is running out for players to get down to the Event Center to take part. The field ballooned over 400 and only a handful of entries away from topping 1,200 combined across the first three flights.

They will take another break when this level clocks out and registration will close when they return.

Sheddy Siddiqui

Flight C players are enjoying their first break of the day and there are a lot of people in the halls. The entry count crossed over 300 in the middle of Level 4 and it should easily beat yesterday’s big number of 395 in Flight A.

SHRP favorite Sheddy Siddiqui is taking his first shot at the $1 Million Guarantee event and he’s always a favorite to go deep. His most recent big run came here during November’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open when he finished fourth in the Championship for more than $120,000.

David Bradshaw

The new Hard Rock Event Center is filling up and it’s looking like we’re going to have a huge Friday field. We have 280 in before the first break with a solid, fast-moving line at the registration desk.

David Bradshaw made his way across the state and grinding away this afternoon. He had a nice run last year and finished third in the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year race, mostly due to his win at the Tampa Winter Poker Open.

Eric Piderit

Flight C got underway at the top of the hour with more than 100 entries in the game at the start. That is a better pace than the first two flights so we should see a huge crowd before registration closes this afternoon.

SHRP regular Eric Piderit was in his seat at the start and shooting for another title. He has three tournament wins to his credit with all three coming right here. Piderit’s last trophy came in this series last year when he won the $570 Black Chip Bounty event.

Yesterday, we wrapped up two flights in the $1 Million Guarantee opening event of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown and we have two more today looking to push the prize pool closer to that guarantee.

The two opening flights combined to put 743 entries into the tournament and 148 of them have already advanced to Day 2 on Sunday. Today’s players look to join them.

They will start out with 20,000 deep stacks and all day one levels will last 30 minutes long. They will play 14 full levels and survivors will bag up their chips for a return on Sunday.

Cards go in the air at the top of the hour and we expect another big day in the new Event Center.
