Level 21:  10,000/15,000 with a 15,000 ante
Players Remaining: 25 of 536

Ducarmel Beaubien

As usual with these tournaments, action gets a little faster after the dinner break. Full bellies and fresh minds.

We lost eight players in the first half-hour back to really deepen the stacks and set up an interesting evening.

The lastest elimination saw Frederick Goldberg and Ducarmel Beaubien get nearly 500K each in the middle preflop.

Beaubien: 8s8c
Goldberg: AdJh

Beaubien was ahead with his eights but Goldberg jumped out front on the AhKs5d flop. The paired ace was only good for one more card because the dealer put the two-out 8d on the turn and Goldberg was gone after the 7s river.

That left the field only one elimination from a full three-table redraw.

26th: Frederick Goldberg – $1,715
27th: Fred Dabus – $1,715
28th: Jeffrey Palermo – $1,715
29th: Raminder Singh – $1,715
30th: Brian Barros – $1,715
31st: Jordan Flaschner – $1,715
32nd: Joann Coliny – $1,715
33rd: Lee Farris – $1,485

Event 3: Jorge Gomez Eliminated by Andre Bryan

Level 20:  5,000/15,000 with a 15,000 ante

Andre Bryan

Even with this deeper stack structure, sometimes things just happen. Jorge Gomez recently doubled through Steven Karp but the good times did not lost long.

Karp went out soon after sending the double to Gomez and then Gomez tangled with Andre Bryan.

As told by Bryan, he was heads up with Gomez when his Ax6x flopped two pair against Gomez’s AxQx. A lot of chips went in the middle, Bryan’s hand held up, and Gomez was a shocking exit while Bryan stacked huge.

“Things are going ok,” Bryan said lowkey.

Andre Bryan – 2,085,000 (139 bb)

37th: Jorge Gomez – $1,485
38th: Steven Karp – $1,485
39th: Loni Hui – $1,485

Gomez was dominating with the bigger and the dealer ran out the Js6c3s2d2s board to send him the double.

Steven Karp – 325,000 (22 bb)

Lee Farris

There was little action over the first four hands of bubble play then three big hands came around on hand five. Three tables had a player at risk and all had different outcomes. They were played out one at a time to make sure tournament staff had all the info.

On the first, a short stack was all in with Ax7x against Ax7x after both flopped two pair. Neither was freerolling to a flush so that hand was chopped up.

One the next, Raminder Singh was all in for ~165,000 after a Qc5s2s flop. He was in great shape with AhAd against KcKs and his aces held after the 5h turn and Qd river. That hand was a double up.

One the last one, a short stack was all in from early position for 75,000 after a Tc4s3s flop and Lee Farris called on the button with the bigger stack.

Farris: QcTh
Opponent: Ts5s

Farris was ahead with top pair better kicker against top pair, worse kicker, and a spade draw. The 9c turn changed nothing and Farris dragged the pot after the Ac river. That hand burst the bubble.

Lee Farris – 275,000 (46 bb)
