Chipleader Bin Weng

With the final board showing Kc9h5c10s7d and about 56,000 already in the pot, Bin Weng checked the big blind, the UTG+1 player bet 50,000, and Weng check-raised all in for about 375,000.

The UTG+1 player tanked for a while with about 155,000 remaining in his stack before he eventually folded.

Weng asked if he had a pair, and his opponent said, “I hit the river.”

Weng showed one card — the 3s — as he took the pot. Weng appears to have the chip lead as the field gets closer to the Money Bubble

Bin Weng  –  490,000  (163 bb)

With 40 players remaining, the average chip stack is around 125,500 (42 big blinds). The final 32 players will finish in the money, with a min-cash worth $1,675.

Johnny Bromberg
Two days ago, Johnny Bromberg won Event 1, overcoming a massive field of 6,253 to win $219,090.

Stanley Lee was just knocked out when his KdQs on the button failed to catch up to Johnny Bromberg’s AcKc from middle position.

The final board showed 8s8c3h9cJh, and Bromberg won the pot with his ace.

Johnny Bromberg  –  130,000  (87 bb)
Stanley Lee  –  Eliminated

A few minutes later, Nick Palma got it all in for 7,500 with Ad5d against 9s9c.

The board came As9d6sJd4c, and Palma paired his ace on the flop and turned a diamond flush draw, but it wasn’t enough as his opponent flopped a set of nines.

Nick Palma  –  Eliminated

Cherish Andrews
Cherish Andrews

A short while later, Cherish Andrews raised under the gun to 3,000, a player moved all in from middle position for 18,000, and the big blind missed the all in and mistakenly called the smaller raise from Andrews.

A floorperson was called over, and the big blind was given the choice to fold and forfeit the 3,000, or call the full 18,000. After a bit of thought, the big blind folded.

The all-in player turned over AsQh, and he was in excellent position to double up against Andrews’ KcQc.

But the board came 9c6h4c7c7d, and Andrews turned a club flush to win the pot and eliminate her opponent from the tournament.

Cherish Andrews  –  100,000  (67 bb)

With 77 players remaining, the average chip stack is around 65,000 (43 big blinds). The final 32 players will finish in the money, with a min-cash worth $1,675.
