Super High Roller: Kathy Lehne Re-enters

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 1,200/2,400 with a 400 Ante
Entries: 24

Kathy Lehne was eliminated just before Jason Mercier, but she’s re-entered to the field with a fresh starting stack, returning to the same seat she left vacant a short while ago. Her second entry is the 24th overall into this Super High Roller.

The silver lining is that she doesn’t have to worry about Mercier on her left, anymore.

Kathy Lehne – 125,000 (52 bb)

Super High Roller: Jason Mercier Eliminated by Dan Colman

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 1,200/2,400 with a 400 Ante
Entries: 23

Jason Mercier

Jason Mercier opened the button to 5,300, Dan Colman called in the small blind, and Justin Bonomo defended his big to create three-way action.

The flop was Ah9h8d. It checked to Mercier, who continued for 7,500. Colman check-raised to 26,000, Bonomo folded out of the way, and Mercier called the remainder to proceed, getting short on chips by that point.

The turn was the 2d, and Colman moved all in for 56,100 effective. Mercier double-checked his hole cards, then called all in for that amount to put himself at risk.

Colman: AsTc
Mercier: Ac4s

Facing kicker problems, the 8c river was no help to Mercier, and he was eliminated just before the dinner break. He has until 7:30 to rejoin the field, should he so choose.

Dan Colman – 198,000 (83 bb)
Jason Mercier – Eliminated

Super High Roller: David Peters Doubles Through David Cohen

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 8: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 Ante
Entries: 23

David Peters

The hand between David Peters and David Cohen seemed pretty standard with the full board out and reading Jc9d8dKhTd.

Peters led out for 25,000 and Cohen announced all-in while putting in his stack. Before the chips hit the table, Peters called with his second nut flush Kd7d and Cohen’s river straight with QhJh was no good.

The hand left Cohen with less than 20,000 and he was gone soon afterward.

David Peters – 129,000 (65 bb)
David Cohen – Eliminated

Super High Roller: Byron Kaverman Runs into Kings Again

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 6: 600/1,200 with a 200 Ante
Entries: 19

Bryn Kenney versus Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman’s first bullet ran into the kings of Jason Koon and his second did the same thing against Bryn Kenney.

Jan Eric Schwippert opened to 3,000 and Kenney three-bet to 10,300 from the button. Kaverman four-bet his small blind to 25,500 and Schwippert released.

Kenney put in 105,000 and Kaverman called at risk with slightly less.

Kenney: KdKs
Kaverman: QhQs

Another tough second best hand and Kaverman never found a sweat as the board ran out JhTh2sTs7s to end his second attempt.

Bryn Kenney – 282,000 (235 bb)
Byron Kaverman – Eliminated

Super High Roller: Byron Kaverman Eliminated by Jason Koon

$50,000 Super High Roller (Re-Entry)
Level 4: 400/800 with a 100 Ante
Entries: 17

Byron Kaverman making a decision for his stack

Jason Koon was under 100,000 at the first break but came back to pick up some chips, then an entire stack.

He opened to 7,000 from the cutoff and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 1,700. The blinds released and Koon announced all-in after a short think. It was Kaverman’s turn to take his time thinking it through before he called for his ~115,000 stack.

Koon: KsKd
Kaverman: AsKc

A tough spot for Kaverman and he needed to catch to keep his $50,000 seat. The dealer kept it low for Koon as it came 3h3d2cTd9h to send our first player out and push Koon into the lead.

Jason Koon – 336,000 (420 bb)
Bryon Kaverman – Eliminated
