She’s so good it’s just scary.

The unbridled agression and reading skills of Vanessa Selbst were on display again as Selbst ended up in a four-way pot.  After a flop of JsTc4c and all four checked it was on.  With a Jh on the turn, Selbst bet out 7,000 and her opponent on the button called.

With a Td on the river, Selbst checked.  Her opponent put out a small bet of 6,000 after which Selbst quickly went over the top for 14,000.  After getting a call, Selbst found her opponent with 4h5h and playing the board after being counterfeited.  Selbst showed KcQc for king high and won the significant pot.

If Selbst continues plays like that, she could be on her way to another championship being added to her stellar resume.

As we all know, when the numbers start to dwindle in a large poker facility like the Seminole Hard Rock-Hollywood Ballroom it can tend to get a little chilly.  The air conditioning is always set to accomodate a large amount of people but when the body heat is gone, players sometimes resort to interesting tricks to keep warm.

But it looks like Angela Prada-Moed is pulling out all the stops.   We all wish we could fit in a seat like that.  Someone get Angela a hot chocolate and a cupcake, please.

Alex Haber is on a heater.

A stunned table looked on as Haber sent another player to the rail.  Haber with 9c9s called his oppenent hold KcKd on a 7c5c3c board.  After a blank on the turn, Haber rivered a 9 and claimed another victim.  Haber cleared the 100k mark with the win.

Meanwhile, Will Failla continues to chat it up as usual.  Whether it’s giving a cordial greeting to the blog team or mentoring up-and-coming pro Nick Yunis, Failla is never short on table talk.  Failla currently stands around 35k.
