Event 21: Pevner Hits Big

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: Blinds 1200/2400/400 Ante

He’s a contender now.

Barry Pevner picked off a huge all-in play by Rachel Kranz.  On a 2h9d3h flop, Kranz went all-in and was quickly called by Pevner.

Pevner: 10s10h
Kranz: Ah9h

Kranz’s huge draw and bet was a gutsy play but it did not pay off as she got no help and Pevner caught a ten on the river to seal the hand. Pevner moves to the 200,000 chip mark with the win.

Event 21: Dentale Done in 14th ($2,196)

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: Blinds 1200/2400/400 Ante

A rough day for Mike Dentale finally comes to close.

Short stacked, Dentale put it on the line with Js10s.  He was called by Ian O’Hara with AsJh.  Just like the rest of his, Dentale caught absolutely no help and is out the door.  Dentale picks up a cash of $2,196 for his 14th place finish.

Event 21: Wheeler’s World

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: Blinds 1000/2000/300 Ante

Poker pro Jason Wheeler is rolling along here in Event 21. Wheeler holds the top stack in the tournament at around 210,000. The fun-loving online superstar looks for his third live title to add to his extensive resume including over one million in live tournament earnings.

We’ll see Jason can outlast this field and win the $37,648 prize and the title as move on to Level 15: 1200/2400/400 ante.

Event 21: Three’s Company

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: Blinds 1000/2000/300 Ante

Mike Dentale’s rough luck continues.  Dentale pushed his short stack of around 22,000 in and was followed by an all-in by Ian Davis of around 100,000. Derrick Simon then follows with around 11,000 to join the party.

Dentale: AhKc
Davis: JhJc
Simon: As9s

Fate was briefly on Dentale’s side with a Kh3s3h flop but the board ran out 10s7s. Simon tripled up and Dentale won the side pot but ended up with less chips than what he had when he started the hand.

Players on break with 14 remaining here in Event 21.

Event 21: Double Trouble for Donald

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: Blinds 800/1600/200 Ante

Eliminations have been tough to come by so far this afternoon and Donald Lehn has been finding it out the hard way.

First, Mike Dentale doubled through Lehn with queens vs jacks and Dentale’s hand held. Then Lehn made a difficult call with deuces against Derrick Simon holding sixes. Lehn got no help there either and a second player doubled in a matter of a few hands through him.

So both players stay alive and Lehn will try to regroup with 15 players remaining in Event 21.

Event 21: Jose Parra Eliminated in 16th Place ($1,883)

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)

A race to stay alive goes the wrong way for Jose Parra.

Ireland native Yvonne McQuillan raised pre-flop and Parra decided to make a stand going over the top with the rest of his stack. McQuillan called and off we went.

Parra: AsKh
McQuillan JcJd

Parra found no help on the 9c4h8c7sQs board and was sent to the payout window with $1,883 for his work over the last two days.
