$1,100 Seniors Championship (Freeze-Out) Structure Level 2: 100/100 with a 100 ante Entries: 76
We have a great field in the Seniors Championship with 76 players in the freeze-out before the first hour was up. They’ll be close to a $100,000 prize pool before too long, a fantastic start.
A few in early play include some travelers from the west coast of the state with Deborah Farmer, Steve Trizis, and Kevin Blewitt while the local contingent has Mike Beasley, Paul Balzano, and David Levi representing.
Everything is just a bit bigger with the 2022 Poker Showdown and today we run our second Seniors Event of the series. But just a bit bigger.

Raminder Singh won his seventh major Hollywood title earlier in the series and Michael Newman with five was not about to let him get too far ahead on the all-time list. He rolled through the $400 Turbo No Limit Hold’em tournament and earned his sixth trophy plus $7,573 after a five-way deal.
Newman’s previous five victories came with some big payouts including a win in the 4,058-entry 2019 LHPO Ultimate Re-Entry tournament for $181,025 and he was the SHRP Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Champion in 2017 for another $374,240.
Newman’s sixth SHRP Hollywood title ties him with three-time WPT Champion Brian Altman on the all-time win list and one behind Singh and David Prociak.
Congrats to Michael on the historic win and we’ll see you in November for the 2021 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open!
