$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 8: 300/600 with a 75 ante Flight C Entries: 600
Flight C hit 600 entries at the start of Level 8 to push the combined prize pool over $1.4 million for the WPTDeepStacks Main Event. A fine number and we’re now stretching for $1.5 million if we can track down another 91 entries.
Unfortunately for Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador, his Main Event dream came to an end after the second break. We heard second hand that it was a flush-over-flush situation to send the SHRP favorite out.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 7: 250/500 with a 75 ante Flight C Entries: 577
Players returned from their break and we found another stack standing out above the rest. Last break it was Marc Duquette with the big lead but he’s dipped down while David Sanders stormed over 100,000 and returned to a stack of 155,000 going into Level 7.
Top stacks and notables:
David Sanders – 155,000 (310 bb) Vasili Leshchenko – 94,000 (188 bb) Elliot Zaydman – 82,000 (164 bb) Marc Duquette – 81,000 (162 bb) Michael Morisier – 80,250 (161 bb) Juan Endara – 80,000 (160 bb) Ryan Cairns – 79,800 (160 bb) Linas Manzintas – 79,000 (158 bb) Janis Krumins – 75,800 (152 bb) Francisco Regalado – 75,000 (150 bb) Jeff Rodriguez – 75,000 (150 bb) Tim Reilly – 68,900 (138 bb) Sean Shah – 61,000 (122 bb) John DePersio – 56,375 (113 bb) Victor Figueroa – 45,600 (91 bb) Sheddy Siddiqui – 43,000 (86 bb) Michael Mizrachi – 40,000 (80 bb) Abbey Daniels – 35,500 (71 bb) Brian Phillis – 33,325 (67 bb) Brian Reinhert – 33,000 (66 bb) Manny Minaya – 30,625 (61 bb) Hans Winzeler – 20,400 (41 bb) Mukul Pahuja – 16,800 (34 bb) Harrison Gimbel – 15,450 (31 bb)
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 6: 200/400 with a 50 ante Flight C Entries: 548
Flight C players are on their second break of the day shortly after they were joined by Florida poker royalty.
Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi would be the top-earning tournament player from the state if it wasn’t for that pesky Jason Mercier. He has over $15 million in career earnings, one WSOP Circuit ring, two WPT titles, and three WSOP bracelets including two in the coveted Players Championship.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 6: 200/400 with a 50 ante Flight C Entries: 511
Flight C has now added more than 500 entries to the WPTDeepStacks Main Event and we have more getting in at a regular pace.
Among the new entries, Harrison Gimbel is a returning final table member from this event last year and will have to do it this year on his final bullet. Gimbel busted after the first break and immediately re-entered (after having his previously ordered meal re-directed) and is now grinding alongside WPTDeepStacks veteran Brian Reinert.
Gimbel is one big score from crossing the $4 million mark in a career that includes a WPT title, PCA Main Event crown, and a Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Championship final table appearance. He made the WPTDeepStacks final table here last January and finished in fourth place at the hands of eventual champion Salomon Ponte.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 5: 150/300 with a 50 ante Flight C Entries: 495
Flight C continues to push the numbers higher and the combined entry count hit 1,350 after the first break to set up a prize pool over $1.3 million with plenty of time to run it up.
Patrick Eskandar is one of out late entrants and dipped a little after an opponent hit a gut shot on him. He still has enough chips to work and the chops to get them back. Eskandar has over $600,000 in career earnings, including a 20th place finish in the 2010 WSOP Main Event, and picked up his first SHRP trophy during the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open”.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 4: 100/200 with a 25 ante Flight C Entries: 447
Players returned to their seats and we found one huge stack standing out among the rest. SHRP regular Marc Duquette nearly quadrupled his 25,000 starting stack in three levels and returned to 95,675 for a whole lot of big blinds.
But there are plenty of talented players trying to chase him down.
Top stacks and random notables:
Marc Duquette – 95,675 (478 bb) Michael Dinardo – 80,000 (400 bb) Jerry Spanos – 75,000 (375 bb) Aaron Massey – 74,200 (371 bb) Marc Sacheli – 65,000 (325 bb) Bienvenido Santiago – 58,200 (291 bb) Riley Fuller – 48,000 (240 bb) Sheddy Siddiqui – 44,000 (220 bb) Nancy Thomas – 42,650 (213 bb) Anthony Astarita – 42,000 (210 bb) Tim Reilly – 41,000 (205 bb) Neil Blumenfield – 35,450 (177 bb) Sean Shah – 34,000 (170 bb) Chad Eveslage – 33,800 (169 bb) Perry Shaio – 32,300 (162 bb) Manny Minaya – 28,000 (140 bb) Abbey Daniels – 25,000 (125 bb) Asher Conniff – 18,550 (93 bb) Rafael Reis – 13,000 (65 bb)
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 3: 75/150 with a 25 ante Flight C Entries: 395
Flight is getting closer to the 400-entry mark as they also near the first break of the day. The prize pool already topped $1.2 million and will continue to climb until registration is closed at 7:30pm.
SHRP regular Sean Shah is back in the ballroom after taking off the first week of the series. He’s looking to add to $568,000 in career earnings that include a runner-up finish to Ryan Laplante this summer for his first career WSOP bracelet and a televised final table bubble in seventh at the 2015 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Level 1: 50/100 Flight C Entries: 300
Flight C quickly jumped over 300 entries in the second level and we’re seeing more familiar faces make their first appearance this series including former HPT Player of the Year Aaron Massey.
Massey was last seen here making the final table of the $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty event during the 2016 RRPO and this would be a good tournament to do the same.
