Level 8: 300/600/75 ante

A few of local players are doing well after the first break. Angel Vu, who has enough chips to walk around and miss hands, has quietly moved over 80,000. Eric Piderit likes his table as they’ve jumped his 25,000 starting stack over 150,000 by the start of Level 8.

Piderit has a tournament win on his résumé from February during the WPT Lucky Hearts Open at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.

More than 300 players have register for Flight 1A as they head off on their first break of the day. Two new WSOP bracelet winners are making their first appearance at the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.

Brian Hastings is a local professional who won the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship during the 2012 World Series of Poker and Tyler Patterson just arrived in town fresh off his WSOP bracelet win this past summer. Patterson traveled a bit further than Hastings, his commute brought him from the great state of Washington.
