Mike Amato was eliminated from one of the far tables, reducing the field to 73 players and putting them on the direct bubble. There were a few hands still in progress, however.

In one of them, Russell Thomas moved all in for about 120,000 in the cutoff, and Will Failla re-shoved with his big stack on the button. The blinds folded, and Thomas was heads-up and at risk for his tournament life.

The board ran out , and Failla won the pot with a set of queens. Thomas, a former WSOP November Niner, was eliminated as the bubble boy in 73rd place.

The 72 remaining players are now all in the money.
