Recap:

Event 11 ($350 Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em) attracted a field of 85 players on Wednesday at the Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open and the tournament played out in one day thanks in part to a three-way chop. That chop crowned Eliyou Levy as the champion of the tournament. Vasilii Leschenko was the runner-up and Joseph Patalano took third place.

The last player to get eliminated by a hand of poker was Anthony Lupo. He made his last stand with KsJd and Levy had him covered with pocket queens. The board brought no help for Lupo and he exited the final table. That hand gave Levy half of the chips in play and capped off his aggressive run at the final table to build a menacing stack. “I was very aggressive at the final table. I think I won because of my aggression,” said Levy about his approach to his opponents during the late stages of the tournament.

Levy is a regular at the Seminole Hard Rock and he said he has been playing here for eight years. “I’m comfortable here,” said Levy about his home casino. He is also looking forward to some of the larger guaranteed prize pools coming later in the tournament series. “I like the challenge of playing against 3,000 player fields,” said Levy. He plans on playing as many tournaments as he can the rest of the series, but he plans on taking tomorrow off in order to rest after capturing the trophy late tonight.

Two ladies were the first to fall at the final table after making a deep run in the tournament, and they were Nancy Thomas (ninth place) and Lisa Levy (eighth place). The gregarious Gregg Fund fell in seventh place, and Sheldon Gross went on quite the run of double ups on a short stack before he exited the tournament in sixth place. Filippi Khavin was the fifth-place finisher, and that set the stage for action to play out among the final four players. One consolation for all of these players that busted at the final table was that they all made the money since the top nine got paid.
