The penultimate flight of the 2016 SHRPO opening tournament is ready to go at the top of the hour and we’ll hit the $500,000 Guarantee before too long.

A total of 1,431 entrants took their shot over the first four flights and it will only take another 236 to get it there with two full flights to go. The crowd will be out today for some Saturday afternoon poker and both sessions should be huge.

Each entrant will sit down to 20,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30pm with play concluding for the night after Level 14.

We’ve seen 257 players advance to Day 2 so far and they’ll be joined by more today for the 1pm restart tomorrow. The ballroom will be hopping and we’ll see some big numbers before the end.
