It’s the last day of the 2021 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship and that means we will crown our Champion later today. Of 1,573 entries, only seven remain with a chance to the title and they are lead by SHRP regular Francis Margaglione.

Ronnie Bardah, Robel Andemichael, Tsz Shing, Ilyas Muradi, Jesse Lonis, and WPT Champions Club member Andy Hwang round out the final table with none in danger with a short stack. Anyone can win it.

Everyone is guaranteed at least $115,630 but everyone wants the $809,515 sitting up top for the winner.

Blinds will start 75,000/125,000 with a 125,000 ante and the average stack is 8,750,000 (70 bb).

Cards go back in the air at noon with 90-minute levels until one players eliminated at the final table then going to 60-minutes until reaching heads-up.

Registration closed for this afternoon’s Big Stack one-day trophy event and the trend that started on the first day of the series continued. Another huge field. The $600 buy-in tournament had a $50,000 guarantee that was blasted by the 415 entries all the way up to a $217,875 prize pool.

The tournament will pay out the last 52 spots with $940 for a min-cash and $43,814 plus the LHPO trophy to the champ.

This evening we have our final multi-flight tournament of the LHPO series and it’s a little something for all bankrolls. The $150 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament has two starting flights, today at 5 pm and Tuesday, with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players will start with 15,000 stacks and levels will run for 30 minutes throughout. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 9:30 pm and players may re-enter once per day. Day 1 will continue playing until only 12.5% of the field remains and those players will return on Wednesday in the Poker Room to play it to a champion.

Get here early if you want to play, the field will be capped at 280 unique players per flight.

After a brief pause to allow the big No Limit Hold’em games to play out, we have two more Omaha tournament on the last two days. The first runs this afternoon at 3 pm with a $400 Six-Max Pot Limit Omaha game.

They’ll sit down to 12,000 starting stacks and run 30-minute levels during the one-day tournament. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 7:30 pm with a single re-entry option available.

Since this is a one-day tournament, we will hand out another LHPO trophy before the night is through.

David Eldridge awaits his Championship payout ticket

Jesse Lonis opened to 75,000 from the hijack, Ronnie Bardah called from the cutoff, and David Eldridge called in the big blind to the Td8c3c flop. Eldridge checked, Lonis bet 135,000 to get a fold from Bardah and call from Elridge.

The turn was 3s, Elridge checked, and Lonis bet enough to put Eldridge all in for his last ~550,000. Eldridge called at risk and the cards were tabled.

Both players flopped a ten but Eldridge was outkicked. The 4d river finished the board and Lonis won the pot with two pair tens and threes to send Eldridge out in 41st place.
