$400 Big O (Re-Entry) Structure Level 9: 400/800 Entries: 87
Registration closed on the LHPO Big O tournament with an 87-entry field. That’s a great turnout with the WPTDeepStacks event playing at the same time.
Gabriel Ramos is one of the big stacks in contention and always a threat to take down the entire thing. He is currently sitting in a five-way tie for second on the all-time SHRP win list with five trophies. One more will put him alone by himself and only behind David Prociak’s seven titles.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood $1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 8: 300/600 with a 600 ante Flight C Entries: 575
They keep coming (or returning if a new shot is needed) and we have 575 entries with two more hours to run it up. That means it’s a virtual lock that we will beat the 1,366 we had for this tournament in 2018, a great start to the series.
Some more friends made an appearance including Lily Kiletto, Filipp Khavin, Rmainer Singh, Jaime Wiegrefe, Marc Sacheli, and Michael Graffeo.
Kiletto scored the biggest cash of career right here. She finished second to Matt Giannetti on the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open final table, one spot from putting her name on the WPT Champions Cup.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood $1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 7: 300/500 with a 500 ante Flight C Entries: 547
The second break is over and players returned to their seats with a new player leading the way. Jason Block is the new big stack in the ballroom with 158,000 going into the last levels with registration open.
The entry count is very close to topping the numbers from 2018, the last year we opened with a WPTDeepStacks and closed with a WPT Championship. The prize pool is only a few away from pushing the prize pool over $1.3 million and that mark is a lock.
$1,100 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood $1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 6: 200/400 with a 400 ante Flight C Entries: 495
Flight C is cruising along and nearing 500 entries with the second break on the horizon. It is racing against the numbers from 2018 and there’s a chance to crush it.
More familiar friends made a showing including Mark Dube, Patrick Eskandar, Vitor Coelho, Nick Palma, Uri Kadoosh, Alex Rocha, and Ryan Van Sanford.
The first Friday of the 2020 Lucky Hearts Poker Open produced another big field for opening WPTDeepStacks event and we awarded two more LHPO trophies.
Keeping with the trend of diverse poker varieties, Event 3 was a $400 H.O.R.S.E. game with five different games played throughout the tournament.
It produced a talented final table that included Carey Pickus, Corey Zeidman, and Georges Boyadjian along with David Shmuel following up on his Event 2 win. Shmuel missed on his fifth career SHRP Hollywood trophy and Harold Klein took the title after a heads-up deal with Stephen Reid.
Event 3 results:

The second new tournament of the day was a huge night time event. The $150 Big Stack tournament drew 365 entries to easily beat the $30,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The second of three starting flights of the $1,000,000 guarantee WPTDeepStacks event drew 365 entries to push the combined total to 784. Edwards Muniz bagged the biggest stack with 412,000 but that number was short of Howard Mash’s overall lead of 520,000.

David Shmuel is back for the third straight day but this is the first time he is firing the WPTDeepStacks event. The SHRP regular spent Thursday playing the $400 Limit Omaha 8 event and winning it for good measure, his fourth career Hollywood title. On Friday he played the $400 H.O.R.S.E. and made another final table for a third-place finish.
Today he is sticking to No Limit Hold’em and trying to ride the heater.
