Flight E players are getting ready to hit their first break of the day as they approach 450 entrants in the morning session.
Joe Serock and his $3 million in career earnings took a seat during this level and joined SHRP team member Cate Hall’s table. Not a lot of fun for the other players there.
They’ll take their break at the top of the hour and return to play four more levels with late registration/re-entry open.

Richard DeVivo’s day hasn’t gone very well but he still has skin in the game. His kings were cracked early by tens to leave him short.
DeVivo picked up a needed double when he called a min-raise from the small blind then got his chips in the middle with the board reading . His opponent called with and DeVivo’s trip tens needed to dodge four queens.
The river blanked and DeVivo doubled up to 7,000.
“One more double and I’ll have a 15,000 stack,” DeVivo joked.
That would still be under a starting stack but a positive direction.

The entrant count quickly jumped over 300 during the second level and new tables are filling at a nice clip.
Two Seminole Hard Rock Poker team members are in the game before noon. Sheddy Siddiqui and Cate Hall took seats at adjoining tables in the second level with more expected before we close down registration.

It’s pretty clear from the early numbers that this will be the biggest flight so far in Event 10. By a long shot.
Over 250 entrants were in the game when they rolled out the second level of the day and it’s looking like we’ll pop the guarantee before we even have to think about the last flight at 6pm.
While a lot of pros wait late to register, Harrison Gimbel was here at the start. The WPT and PCA champ took his seat at the front of the room while others were still wandering down to the registration desk.

Oleg Merges wasted no time running up his starting stack. Only five minutes into the flight and he was all-in at risk. He wasn’t in too much danger with his dominating .

Four flights down, two to go in the $1,000,000 Guarantee Event 10. So far we’ve seen 1,465 entrants take a shot with 281 players still around at the end to move on to Day 2. Nick Palma put nearly 500,000 in his bag yesterday to hold the current chip lead.
The penultimate flight is ready to go and the dealers are waiting for the players to take their seats for what we expect to be a huge Saturday morning/afternoon crowd.
Entrants sit down to 20,000 starting stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout Day 1. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 around 3:30pm and play will conclude at the end of Level 14.
It’s going to be a busy day in the ballroom and the prize pool will surpass the $1,000,000 mark before we are through.

Registration is closed for Flight C with another 373 entrants putting up their buy-in to get in the game. That puts the combined total over 1,000 so far and we’re well on the way to hitting the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
