Femi Fashakin
Femi Fashakin stacks his chips after doubling thru Justin Harvell.

With about 15 minutes left in Day 2, Femi Fashakin got it all in preflop for 473,000 with 9s9d, and he needed to improve to stay alive against Justin Harvell’s QsQh in the big blind.

There was a nine in the window as the board came 9c5h4d4s10s, and Fashakin flopped a set and turned a full house to win the pot and double up in chips.

Femi Fashakin  –  964,000  (80 bb)
Justin Harvell  –  28,000  (2 bb)

The next hand, Billy Pilossoph raised under the gun to 27,000, and Harvell used one of his Time Chips to tank for nearly a minute before he moved all in from the small blind for 98,000. Timothy Banks called from the big blind, and Pilossoph called the additional 1K.

Banks and Pilossoph checked all the way down on a board of 9h8d7s6hQd, and everyone showed their cards.

Timothy Banks:  Ad7d  (pair of sevens)
Billy Pilossoph:  AcKc  (ace high)
Justin Harvell:  Qs9c  (two pair)

Harvell won the pot with his two pair to triple up in chips.

Justin Harvell  –  96,000  (8 bb)
Timothy Banks  –  1,170,000  (98 bb)
Billy Pilossoph  –  890,000  (74 bb)

The next hand, James Calderaro raised under the gun to 31,000, Justin Harvell moved all in from the button for 96,000, and Calderaro called with Qd9d. Harvell turned over KhQs, and he was a dominant favorite to double up.

The board came Kd6h2h5sKs, and Harvell won the pot with trip kings to double up in chips.

Justin Harvell  –  222,000  (19 bb)
James Calderaro  –  1,440,000  (120 bb)

With 54 players remaining, the average chip stack is about 624,000 (52 big blinds). Action will continue tonight until the end of this level, in just a few minutes.

The board came KsKc3x7x2x, and Vela turned two pair, kings and sevens, to win the pot and double up in chips.

Farhad Jamasi and Mukul Pahuja
Farhad Jamasi (left) and Mukul Pahuja

In Hand #5 of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble, Farhad Jamasi completed the small blind to 6,000, and Mukul Pahuja raised from the big blind to 26,000.

Both players had big stacks, but Jamasi had Pahuja covered by a little more than 100K. Jamasi said, “I’m not going to be the Bubble Boy,” and he called.

The flop came 9h5c3d, Jamasi checked, Pahuja bet 18,000, and Jamasi called.

The turn card was the Ac, and both players checked.

The river card was the 4s, Jamasi bet 50,000, and Pahuja used one of his Time Chips to tank for nearly a minute before he called.

Jamasi showed Ad9d to win the pot with two pair, aces and nines, and Pahuja mucked.

Farhad Jamasi  –  980,000  (163 bb)
Mukul Pahuja  –  660,000  (110 bb)

The final 106 players will finish in the money, guaranteed at least $5,666 each, while the next player to bust will receive nothing. (Perhaps gratitude from the rest of the field.)
