Just the tail end of a pot here, but one definitely worth a mention.

Justin Bonomo and Isaac Haxton were heads-up on the river of a 9h5s3d7c3h board. Justin Bonomo checked from under the gun, and Haxton moved all in for 363,000 effective. He had the slightly larger stack, and his bet was just more than the size of the pot.

Bonomo spent a short while in the tank, then said, “I don’t think I can fold.” With that, he called to put himself at risk.

Haxton showed JcJh, but Bonomo tabled AcAh to win the huge pot with aces up.

Haxton was left with less than 35,000 chips, and he was eliminated a moment later.

Bonomo, on the other hand, moved into contention for the chip lead with that monster double.

Justin Bonomo – 950,000
Isaac Haxton – Eliminated

Kyle Julius moved all in for about 140,000 in the cutoff, and Stefan Schillhabel called to put him at risk from the button.

Julius: KdJs
Schillhabel: AcTc

The Kc7c5c flop left Julius nearly dead, and the 9h turn ended the hand one card early. The river was the meaningless 3c, and Schillhabel won the pot with an ace-high flush.

Julius was eliminated, while his executioner extended his chip lead further.

Stefan Schillhabel – 955,000 (119 bb)
Kyle Julius – Eliminated

Erik Seidel got his last 64,000 chips into the middle from the button against Jason Mercier in the small blind.

Seidel: Ah7d
Mercier: Ad8c

Seidel flopped the lead on the 9h7s5c, but Mercier turned a straight with the 6h. Seidel was drawing dead to a chop, and the 3s river sent him to the rail.

Jason Mercier – 280,000 (35 bb)
Erik Seidel – Eliminated

Action folded around to the blinds, where Kyle Julius moved all in for 70,000 in the small and Stefan Schillhabel called in the big.

Julius: Kd9s
Schillhabel: AcQs

The board ran out in Julius’ favor, coming KhQd5sTh2c. He doubled up with a pair of kings.

Even after paying off that little double, Schillhabel remains atop the chip counts, holding a narrow lead over his tablemate, Jonathan Jaffe.

Kyle Julius – 146,000 (18 bb)
Stefan Schillhabel – 645,000 (99 bb)

Koray Aldemir moved all in for 70,000 in middle position, and Joe Kuether called all in for 60,000 on the button, putting himself at risk.

Kuether showed down QsQd, and Aldemir let out an audible scoff. He held JsJc in his hands as he shook his head slowly back and forth.

Things improved in a hurry, though. The flop came AdJd4c, giving Aldemir a set and putting Kuether two cards from the door. The Ac turn and Ks river completed the board with blanks.

Aldemir was apologetic in victory. “Just have to complain, I guess,” he said. “Sorry.”

Kuether was eliminated.

Koray Aldemir – 146,000 (24 bb)
Joe Kuether – Eliminated

Isaac Haxton opened the button to 11,000, and Mike Leah three-bet shoved for 18,500 in the small blind. From the big, Koray Aldemir re-shoved for a bit under 200,000, and Haxton surrendered.

Leah: TsJd
Aldemir: TcTd

Leah flopped an open-ender, but that’s as close as he’d get. The board ran out KhQh3d4h8h, and Aldemir won the pot with his pair of tens. Leah was eliminated.

While that hand was playing out, Darren Elias moved all in for 108,500 at the adjacent table, and Alexander Turyansky put him at risk from the small blind.

Elias showed 5c5h against Turyansky’s 8h8d, and a board full of blanks gave the pot to Turyansky. Elias was eliminated.

Alexander Turyansky – 325,000
Koray Aldemir – 220,000
Mike Leah – Eliminated
Darren Elias – Eliminated

Stefan Schillhabel opened to 11,000 under the gun, and Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 36,000 two seats over. From the big blind, Kyle Julius four-bet to 75,000, and only Jaffe called.

Both players checked through the Ah6h5h flop and the Td turn. The river was the 6c, and Julius bet 100,500. Jaffe shrugged and called.

“You win,” Julius admitted.

“Can I see it?” Jaffe requested.

Julius showed Qs8s for nothing, and Jaffe tabled 5s5d to win the pot with fives full.

Jonathan Jaffe – 445,000
Kyle Julius – 75,000

Lander Lijo

Lander Lijo opened to 9,000 under the gun, and Olivier Busquet three-bet to 30,000 in the small blind. Lijo called.

The flop was KdKs7s. Busquet set his opponent all in for 59,500, and Lijo quickly called to put himself at risk.

“Oh, no,” Busquet scowled.

Lijo: KhQh
Busquet: 6d6c

Lijo had flopped trip kings, and the Ad turn and 3c river secured his double-up.

Lander Lijo – 187,000
Olivier Busquet – 145,000
