$200 Big Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$200,000 Guaranteed

November 21-23, 2022

2022 RRPO Event 17 Champion Chris Lewis (2)

Event 17 of the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open was the Multi-Flight $200 Big Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry). Over six starting flights, a field of 1,894 entries generated a prize pool of $303,040. A four-way deal was reached at the final table and Chris Lewis was the chip leader, making him the official winner for $32,400.

Lewis began Day 2 in solid shape, sitting 21st of the remaining 191 players. When the final table was reached, he sat comfortably fourth in chips with 34 big blinds. However, he was in danger of busting in ninth place when he was basically all in ace-queen against ace-king. Fortunately for Lewis, he paired his queen on the flop to win the hand and take the chip lead, which he held for much of the remainder of the tournament.

The victory marked Lewis’ second SHRP major series trophy, his first coming back in 2011 at the WPT Regional Hollywood series in a $125 No-Limit Hold’em event for $12,293.

2022 RRPO Event 20 Champion Colin Robinson

Event 20 of the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open was the $1,100 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em Shootout (Freeze-Out). A field of 68 entries produced a prize pool of $65,960, and the 10 players who won their opening tables on Day 1 were in the money and facing off for the title on Day 2.

Emerging victorious was Colin Robinson, winning outright for $22,135. This was Robinson’s second SHRP major series trophy, having previously won a $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty NLH during the 2016 SHRPO.

“I haven’t been here since 2019,” said Robinson afterward. “I wasn’t planning on coming, but I had a change of plans and my friends were here, so I figured why not?”

Robinson also had not planned on playing in the event.

“I had already made Day 2 of the $200 (Event 17), and my friend said I should just play this. He thought it was better value than the other event on the schedule, so it just worked out. And, I kind of lucked out that my starting table was six-handed when some others were seven-handed. Luck of the draw, so kind of fortunate.”
