Event 3 Champion Paul Freedman

The 2017 Fun in the Sun Poker Open continued on Thursday with Event 3, a $350 Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em tournament. A field of 131 entries generated a total prize pool of $39,300, easily surpassing the $25,000 guarantee. Of that prize pool, $13,100 was set aside for bounties. When it was all said and done, Paul Freedman emerged victorious for $7,405 and a $3,500 seat to the WPT Championship Event at the 2018 Lucky Hearts Poker Open.

Residing in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, this marks the 62-year-old Freedman’s first career cash at the Seminole Hard Rock. Primarily playing in the northeast, Freedman has amassed more than $175,000 in career tournament earnings.
