On a flop of Jc10h7h, Jose Vasquez found himself all in for about 220,000 and got called by Shannon Shorr.

Vasquez showed 7d7s, good for bottom set, but needed the board to pair against Shorr’s 9c8c.

The turn was the 6h and the river was the Qh. Neither player’s hand contained a heart and Shorr’s queen-high straight was good enough for the pot and Vasquez was eliminated in 16th place. He earned $12,895 for his finish, while Shorr added to his already sizable lead.

On the turn with the board reading 8h7d6h8d, Francis Anderson checked from under the gun and Shannon Shorr bet 115,000 on his direct left.

Anderson called and there was about 400,00 in the middle heading to the 10h river. Anderson checked again and Shorr bet again, this time 200,000. Anderson didn’t waste much time before folding.

Shorr mucked his hand and retook the chip lead as the only player with more than 2 million.
