Aaron Massey
Aaron Massey

Aaron Massey raised from the cutoff to 150,000, leaving himself just 5,000 behind. Matt Affleck reraised from the button to 250,000, and Mark Dube tanked for a while before calling from the big blind.

With the action back on Massey and a payout jump looming, he asked the table to give him “one hand” to think, and he stood up to check out the action on the other two tables. Somebody moved all in preflop on the next table, but as soon as everyone else folded, Massey sat down and called all in for his last 5,000.

There was 540K in the main pot, and another 190K in the side pot between Affleck and Dube.

The flop came 8s8h4d, Dube checked, Affleck bet 120,000, and Dube thought for a while before he called.

The turn card was the 2s, and both players checked.

The river card double-paired the board with the 4s, and they checked again. Everyone turned over their cards.

Matt Affleck:  As9h  (two pair with an ace)
Mark Dube:  5h5d  (higher two pair, eights and fives)
Aaron Massey:  Ah10s  (two pair with an ace)

Dube won the entire pot with his pocket fives to eliminate Massey in 25th place.

Mark Dube  –  2,250,000  (45 bb)
Matt Affleck  –  2,105,000  (42 bb)
Aaron Massey  –  Eliminated in 25th Place  ($27,470)

With 24 players remaining, the average chip stack is about 1,965,000 (39 big blinds). The remaining players are all guaranteed at least $31,360, and the next pay jump is $38,115 for 21st place.

There will be a one-hour dinner break after Level 25 (about 6:45 pm), and action will continue tonight until the field is down to the final nine players for tomorrow’s final table.
