Bud Gibson Triples Up
Bud Gibson  (top left, in white) was all in preflop, and waits for the blinds to finish their action on the river.

Bud Gibson moved all in from the button for 32,500, the player in the small blind called, and the player in the big blind reraised to 75,000. The small blind called, creating a main pot worth 100,500, and a side pot worth 85,000.

The flop came 8c4s2d, the small blind checked, the big blind bet 35,000, and the small blind called.

The turn card was the 6d, and both players checked.

The river card paired the board with the 4h, the small blind checked, the big blind moved all in for about 100,000, and the small blind went into the tank for a very long time.

Eventually, somebody at the table called for a clock, and the small blind eventually folded, and the big blind took the side pot worth 155,000.

For the main pot, the big blind showed Ah10s for ace high, but Gibson turned over 10h10c to win the pot with his pocket pair and triple up in chips.

Bud Gibson  –  100,500  (34 bb)

With 376 players remaining, the average chip stack is about 167,000 (56 big blinds), and the final 197 players will finish in the money, guaranteed at least $6,150 each.

There will be a 90-minute dinner break after Level 17 (about 6:40 pm), and action is scheduled to continue tonight until the end of Level 21, around 12:30 am.
