Tom Marchese

On a flop of 9d8c6s, the big blind checked and Tom Marchese bet 6,000 from middle position. The player to his direct left called and the big blind called.

The turn was the Ah and the big blind checked again. Marchese bet 20,000 and the player to his left folded. The big blind goes into the tank for several minutes before folding.

“This was a weird hand” said Marchese, showing JsJd.

There was lots of banter after the hand. The player to his left claimed he folded pocket queens and the big blind folded a better hand as well.

According to some of the talk about the preflop play, it seemed like there was a raise from Marchese and a call before the big blind three-bet, which was called by both Marchese and the other middle position player.

Marchese gets both better hands to fold and moves over the 100,000-chip threshold.
