Week 1, Flight B: Play Concludes with 6 Remaining

Level 14 has ended and play has concluded in Flight B of the Escalator Series opener. Action began today at 3 p.m. with 98 entries and played down to 6 players over the course of about eight hours. That brings our two flight total coming back to Day 2 at 17 players.

Ira Schwartz is our chip leader through the first 2 flights, having bagged 257,000 in Flight B. Chip counts through Flight C will be posted in the morning around 9am.

For those of you still looking to get in on the action, there are three flights tomorrow at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Flight A Clock

Flight B of the opening Escalator Series event drew the same total as Flight A, 98 entries, bringing the two-flight field to 196. The clock reads 28 players remaining with play set to conclude following Level 14 (at about 10:45 p.m.). Complete combined chip counts through tonight’s Flight C will be posted first thing in the morning.

It’s 7 p.m. in South Florida and Flight C of the $150 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed Escalator Series is off and running. The Flight A opener is freshly concluded while Flight B is going strong on the first level of the poker room.

Like those before them, Flight C players begin with 10,000 chips and late registration/unlimited re-entry is available until the start of Level 9 (about 11:30). Play is set to conclude following Level 14 (at about 2:45 a.m.) and complete, combined chip counts for all of today’s flights will be posted by Thursday morning.

Week 1, Flight A: Play Concludes with 11 Remaining

Level 14 has expired and play has concluded in Flight A of the Escalator Series opener. Action began today at 11 a.m. with 98 entries and played down to just 11 over the course of about eight hours.

It appears Michael Newman holds the chip lead having bagged 180,500. We’ll take a closer look at advancing stacks when complete, combined chip counts through Flight C are posted in the morning.

For those of you still looking to get in on the action, Flight C begins in a few short minutes while Thursday and Friday each boast three flights at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Week 1, Flight A: Reg Closes with 98 Entries

Level 9 is underway and registration is officially closed in Flight A of the $150 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed Escalator event. The field topped out at 98 entries strong and they’ll pair with all entries from the eight subsequent flights to create the complete player pool.

Here’s a look at the remaining tournament flights:

  • Flight B – Underway (Late reg/re-entry until 6:30 p.m.)
  • Flight C – Tonight at 7 p.m. (Late reg/re-entry until 10:30 p.m.)
  • Flight D – Tomorrow at 11 a.m.
  • Flight E – Tomorrow at 3 p.m.
  • Flight F – Tomorrow at 7 p.m.
  • Flight G – Friday at 11 a.m.
  • Flight H – Friday at 3 p.m.
  • Flight I – Friday at 7 p.m.

The Flight A clock shows 27 players remaining and they’re set to log just about three more hours of play before action concludes at roughly 6:45 p.m. local time. Complete chip counts for all of today’s flights will be posted following Flight C’s completion.

Week 1, Flight B: Second Flight Underway

Flight B — the second of three flights slated for today — is underway. With its Flight A predecessor playing out in the background, Flight B’s players are freshly in their seats.

As with all starting flights, players begin with 10,000 chips and late registration/unlimited re-entry is available until the start of Level 9 (about 7:30 p.m.). Action concludes following Level 14 (about 10:45 p.m.) with those players fortunate enough to advance returning for Day 2 Saturday at 2 p.m.

Week 1, Flight A: Shuffle Up and Deal

$150 Buy-In, $100,000 Guaranteed

The clock strikes 11 a.m. and the first of nine flights in the opening event of February’s $1,000,000 Escalator Series is underway.

The four-week series features today’s $100,000 guarantee, next week’s $200,000 guarantee, Week 3’s $300,000 guarantee and the final week’s $400,000 guarantee (totaling $1,000,000). Buy-ins escalate from today’s $150 price point to the closing event’s $560 price point.
