Tournament staff are setting up the chips for Flight C

The second day of the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is about to get underway with the third starting flight of Event 1.

Yesterday saw nearly 700 entrants take a shot at the $360 buy-in $500,000 guaranteed tournament with 129 players making it through to Day 2 on Sunday.

Alvi Klamis is the current returning chip leader when he bagged up 417,000 in Flight B, more than 100,00 clear of the Flight A leader Joseph Marzilli’s 315,000. There are still four more flights left for players to catch them and book a seat for the return.

Players sit down to 20,000 starting stack and Day 1 has 30-minute levels. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 3:30pm and unlimited re-entries are available during that time. Play will conclude at the end of Level 14 with survivors moving on.

Cards will be in the air at the top of the hour and we expect a great crowd this morning to push us closer to blasting the guarantee.
