After a long first hand on the bubble with a short stack double, we had two all-ins at separate tables on each side of the room on the second. Once action was complete on the other tables, the hands were run out.
On Table 20, Brian Thomson was all in for 114,000 and Kurt Lawson had him at risk with a monster.
Thomson:
Lawson:
Thomson needed a lot of help to double and picked up a heart draw on the flop. That was as close as he’d get as the board finished with the turn and river. But Thomson had a chance for a rebate with the other all in still waiting.
Kurt Lawson – 350,000 (58 bb)
On Table 4, Jonathan Hickman opened to 16,000 and Lorell Pascual shoved for 35,500 from the big blind to get a quick call. They waited for the first hand, then ran theirs.
Pascual:
Hickman:
Pascual was in great shape for a double but Hickman took the lead on the flop. Pascual was drawing thin and found no love on the turn or river to also exit on the bubble.
Jonathan Hickman – 290,000 (48 bb)
Since both were eliminated on the bubble on separate tables, Thomson and Pascual chopped up the $1,145 min-cash money.
