Chipleader James Calderaro

The players returned from their second break to begin Level 9, with increased blinds of 500-1,000 with a 1,000 ante.

Registration has closed, and the tournament clock shows an unofficial field of 748 entries, which would make the total field 3,687 with a total prizepool worth more than $1.2 million.

As soon as we get official numbers, they will be posted here in the updates. Everyone who makes Day 2 will finish in the money, but the prizepool won’t be posted until late tonight after Flight F has concluded.

A scan of the field during the break turned up three players with at least 150K in chips, creating an unofficial leaderboard:

1.  James Calderaro  –  240,400  (240 bb)
2.  Adam Flam  –  182,600  (183 bb)
3.  Ari Oxman  –  152,800  (153 bb)

If the field size holds, this flight will be playing down to the final 75 players tonight, and everyone who survives this flight will finish in the money and advance to Day 2, which begins tomorrow at 1:00 pm.
