With some late eliminations, Day 1D finished up with 17 players out of the 138 entries.  And the man known affectionately here as “Mr. Miyagi” Katsuhide Yamamoto managed to steal away the chip lead on the last two levels to lead this group’s charge into Day 2.

Yamamoto closed out the evening with 207,500 just ahead of Paul Efron’s 188,500.  Hector Carabello escaped in 3rd with 157,000.

These 17 players will return for Day 2 on Saturday at 5 PM to play for the Event 10 title.
