The Seniors Event began yesterday and drew a nice crowd of 124 entrants to the 50+ year old tournament. The prize pool easily surpassed the $20,000 guarantee and climbed to $37,200. The structure had 12 players getting paid but a double elimination on the bubble split 12th place money between Gregg Silverstein and Peter Netherton.

Just six players remain with Larry Klur in the lead, but just by a single 1k chip ahead of Douglas Hartwick. It’s still anyone’s game and they are unbagging their chips. We’ll soon have a new champion.
