Nigel Murray returns with the Day 2 chip lead

Big 4 Freeze-Out players made the grind through 14 levels last night and only 69 of the starting 395 players are still around with a chance at the title. They are all aiming for a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool and the top payout of more than $200,000.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker regular Nigel Murray returns with the lead and the only player over 300,000. The top ten is full of tough players including 2015 WSOP Ladies Champion Jacquelyn Scott, Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Faraz Jaka, 2016 SHRPO Champion Jason Koon, and former HPT Player of the Year Aaron Massey going for a Big 4 final table in back-to-back years.

They still have a little work to get done this afternoon before they begin cashing checks. Of those 69 returning players, only 52 will walk away with some money and we should hit the bubble before too long.

It will be another long day for the Freeze-Out players. They need to whittle the field down to the final table before their night will be complete. Those nine players will return tomorrow to play out the final table in the Hard Rock Live Arena in front of the Poker Night in America cameras.

Cards go back in the air at noon and we will track all of their action.

Top ten returning stacks:

  1. Nigel Murray – 341,000 (114 bb)
