Sean Perry returns with the Day 2 chip lead

After two days and six starting flights, all Event 5 players will be in the same room at the same time. They all have one goal, to become the next, big Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown champion.

The $150 buy-in tournament drew nearly 2,000 entries to crush the $150,000 and push it up to $236,760. A fine return on the $150 investment.

We have 191 players returning for Day 2 with Sean Perry leading the way holding 341,000. Also returning are Anthony Astarita, Will Givens, Marcus Stein, Evan Teitelbaum, Sean Shah, Charlemagne Benjamin, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah, and Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Jessica Dawley.

Only 117 of those 191 players will earn a piece of the big prize pool with the eventual champion banking more than $50,000. We expect to hit the money bubble early in the day then play down toward a winner later this evening.

Players are taking their seats, unbagging their chips, and Day 2 will be underway shortly.
